would give 5 starts but went upstairs after dinner and experienced the worst DJ in the 30 years of my life.

Epic meal, phenomenal martinis and service at the bar. Burger and crab beignets can’t be missed.

Had a reservation for 5:30pm (time it opened). Went specifically to get the cookies for dessert. Waited 45 min to get a cheeseburger. Dessert menu came - 2 cookies were $18.00…..I didn’t get the cookies. There is a reason they don’t list their prices on the website menu, cause no one would come. So disappointing.

Delicious, fun, & an imagination of a new Hollywood!

Make a reservation now and don’t mistake my enthusiasm for hyperbole.

When you enter the room, you’re washed over with the charm of the golden age of Hollywood. The Benjamin brings to LA something that it hasn’t had in years: a moving experience.

The cocktails are fantastic! Whether it’s that tropical fizz of The Pornstar or the magical mouthfeel of their tequila-based martini, just trust it, order it; and imbibe on their mixologists imagination.

I insist that you start with their hamachi crudo because Matsuhisa himself would be hard-pressed to serve up something this delicious.

The crab beignets are a whimsical take on the familiar (but stale) crab cake. All the familiar taste (but better) in a perfectly crispy and crunchy one-bite ball. Trust me: eat it in 1 bite.

If you’re lucky enough to have a stab at something off-menu (it was a ribeye when I went), take it. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with the burger. All the flavors. All Americana. Some cowboy. I can’t explain it…it just makes sense.

Did you go to Miami and have Papi Steak’s caviar potato and think “Dang! I wish they had this in LA!” Well have a I got news for you! The twice baked potato with caviar at The Benjamin is one of the funnest gastronomical experiences you can have!

Lastly, and perhaps…most importantly…..COOKIES AND CREAM. I’ve never seen this as a dessert option anywhere else, but after having this I can’t wrap my mind around why it’s not on every single menu. It was….and I mean this from the bottom of my heart….a revelation. I have dreamt about this. I long for this. When I get lonely and write in my diary, this is what I write about. Order it. Thank me later.

An absolute vibe with elevated mouth-watering staples. Every time I visit The Benjamin I have a dream about the meal I just had. My go-tos are the patè, steak, baked potato, and cookies and cream.
But to be honest, I’ve everything on the menu and it’s all just simply incredible. You can do shared plates or individual orders, the menu really caters to both. If I go with more folks I’ll also grab the crab beignets, the burger or branzino plus the carrot cake. UFF

Nothing is over-done, or “jazzed up” to fit some social media trend. Just good, f-ing food.

It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends share some food, sip on cocktails and take in the vibe.
Pro-tip: they rarely do evening specials, so if you catch yourself there with a special on the menu, ORDER IT!

Everything we had was amazing. Ambiance is super sheek. Server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Food highlights: burger (honestly, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had), crab beignets, and orange chicken wings.

One thing I could have done without was the dip. It was good but not a wow. Wish we would have tried something else instead.

Overall, highly, highly recommend! Definitely try to get a reservation in advance. Resys open up one week in advance a 9am pst., and they go fast!

Exceptional dinner! Audures was one of the kindest, most attentive servers I have ever encountered. A must go, everything is very detail orientated. The dirtier martini is a must try with the 3 best olives I have ever had

The room is absolutely beautiful and the staff seemed generally nice and well meaning but untrained. The shrimp cocktail was excellent, but the burger was awful and unbelievably priced.

The restaurant was only half full but they made us wait. It never got busy. Felt like artificial exclusivity.

The bigger issue is that at these prices you are expecting a first class experience, but instead you feel like prey. It’s a very mediocre meal trying to be sold as something premium. Felt like a cash grab or a restaurant built by someone newly rich trying to show off. I can’t imagine it lasting.

The burger meat was bland and tasteless. However, the deviled eggs, wedge salad, and rolls were an 8/10. I'm giving this two stars mainly because the music played on the speakers was awful. They played loud hip hop in a nice, chic-looking restaurant, which was very confusing. On the bright side, the cocktails were good.

Great meal and a beautiful room! Was able to get two seats at the bar. Somehow a great mix of feeling like there's a lot of people but also feels very private. The martini, burger, and fish were all must haves. Will certainly be coming back again soon.
