After searching for the top burger spots in town, Benjamin quickly made it onto the list of visiting restaurants. Among them, Benjamin stands out with some of the best burgers around. The burger was very tasty and made with high-quality meat. Although it’s a bit pricey, I think it’s definitely worth trying. The service and atmosphere also contribute to a great overall experience. We weren’t sure if they took walk-ins, so we decided to make a reservation just in case.

The Benjamin is quite possibly one of the most 'LA' restaurants I have ever been in. The music is aggressively trying to pander to a 20-year-old stuck in 2016. Which is okay, but not when being accompanied by an interior that's trying to hard and a burger thats $35. I will say, outside of the price, the weird staff that made me feel like I was on an episode of vanderpump rules, and the tasteless choice of music, it is one of the best burger martini combos I have ever had.
I won't ever go back but I'm happy I went!

They don’t serve good charge a lot
Dined in for our anniversary tonight and was blown away by the hospitality which I haven’t experienced in LA in years. They were able to get us a perfect seat and treated us to a complimentary glass of champagne. The meal was perfect (pickled cauliflower, deviled eggs, burger AND martinis to share) but the service and ambiance made me feel incredibly grateful. Please come here. We’ve lost too many great restaurants post-COVID. I missed this kind of experience deeply. Thank you everyone at The Benjamin, everyone including the hostess and doorman and our server were incredible. We really needed it today, can’t wait to come back.

The Benjamin Burger lives up to the hype!
I made a reservation to try their famous burger, which is rightfully considered one of the best in Los Angeles. The thick, juicy patty was absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fries were equally impressive, crispy and well-seasoned. Everything about this meal was excellent.

The cocktails are extraordinary!! Rarely are cocktails worth $25, and this one is. My friends drink had so much saffron that it felt wasteful.
The room upstairs is vibey and cool. Come before 8 for conversation, they turn up the music after that.
Service is predictably terrible.

Stepping into the venue would feel like you’re just transported into a totally different space. Classy look, dim lighting, somewhat giving the speakeasy’s vibe. Reservation’s highly recommended as the venue seemed to be pretty busy as early as 6pm-ish.
My friend and I started with their Crab Beignets, my pick being a crab lover. Wouldn’t say it’s not kinda steep being an appetizer, but when I took a bite I could tell it featured generous portions of crab meat. Pretty simple yet well-seasoned and flavorful.
As for the main, we shared The Benjamin Burger, which I would say was the crowd’s favorite as it seemed to be in almost all the reviews and we could see it served on lots of other tables. Just like how the picture showed it, ordering it medium, they did come at the precise wellness - juicy and tender. The sauce complemented the overall taste, but surely not overpowering. It’s served with fries on the side with nice garlic sauce and ketchup. Despite I did enjoyed my burger a lot, would admit it’s tad pricey being at mid $30s.
As if french fries weren’t enough, we did get their Baked Potato, their other dish that made it to the top reco on Yelp. To my surprise, it tasted super rich and the crispy delicious skin was doubtlessly the winner. SO SO GOOD, especially when you took a bite with all the elements in the plate - the sour cream, the scallion, and the bacon as add-on we opted for. If you felt like splurging, they also offered caviar add-on, which could turn your baked potato to be over $100.
Overall, I certainly had an impressive dinner. Would I come back? Prolly only on certain occasion when I would be willing to spend more.

If you want an intimate experience reserve a booth. The staff is top-notch. You can order so many amazing items on the menu but really the burger is where it's at!

Food is fire but the prices are high. 2 cheeseburgers, a salad, baked potato, 2 beers, 2 espresso martinis and 1 order of cookies was $300 lol. Thats wild! Ambiance is ok but the tables are stacked on top of each other and the music isn't great, felt like it was curated for my parents. Service was good for LA not what it should be though for a restaurant with these prices. Would consider going back for the food but for the price there are also places that offer the same food or better for half the cost all over LA.
