Solid spot to meet friends for drinks or dinner. It gets a bit pricey on the weekends, but I will definitely come back to try their much more affordable happy hour (4-6pm on weekdays).Loved their buffalo wings, and thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream sundae.Vegetarian options: Fries, flatbreads, veggie burgers

Excellent time here at the Black Cat From the moment we walked in , from the time we left was absolutely amazing. Thanks to the Host for giving us a great Table. We were never rushed and great Service from Anna W Food was tasty and the Eggplant Meatless Balls were extremely flavorful and tasty. And I don't like Eggplant. Great Job!

The Black Cat is a great place for a casual meal alone or even a group dinner with friends. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating with their recommendations and overall service. Even the kitchen is mighty fast, I was amazed at how fast my groups meals were prepared. The Chicken Paillard and Steak Frites are classics that are well executed here. Even the Beef Cheek Ragu was divine. The Crème Brûlée was probably one of the best I’ve had outside of France. You can’t go wrong with a meal from The Black Cat, I definitely recommend coming here for dinner as the lounge vibe is great with buzzing conversation in every corner of the restaurant.

They brought us unmistakably old buffalo wings that were just microwaved or slightly heated up. The server told her manager and/or the chef and came back apologizing, stating he didn’t care and gave her no direction on what to do or say. I’ve always wanted to support this business given the history, but to be given scraps and then being shrugged off (no offer to bring new ones or take off the receipt), will not be returning.

I have really enjoyed this restaurant and bar both for dining in and for their late night delivery. Usually their food is delicious so I was really disappointed to try their mushroom toastie tonight. The wild mushrooms were there, but there was so much rich cheese and horseradish bechemel that it was impossible to eat. It also completely obliterated the potential subtle flavors of the mushrooms. I will continue to try new menu items, but this was unfortunately a big fail. The butternut squash soup was a bit better although no need to make it that sweet. Sometimes just relying on the flavors of the foods themselves is the best bet.

Loved sitting outside at this historic place with a glass of wine. Inside has a classy vibe. The Brussels sprouts were *very good*. Outside is first come first served seating & QR code ordering. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible.Vegetarian options: Delicious Brussels sprouts and fries

Small menu, grest burger! cold staff they have so much to offer with location and history. But a somber enviornment. Cold waitress & bartender. We first attempted outside seating, but music under the tents was obnoxious & loud. Host & bus staff made our night! Sorry we had to learn their history from a post card vs. The staff!

I consider Black Cat my local. The outdoor seating is fantastic and reliable and the drinks are very good. The food is good too, though I don't love the menu. The veggie burger was tasty but absoluuuuutely destroyed my stomach (maybe a Beyond Burger option?) and I wish they had both a dairy-free salad with more veggies and a healthier fish dish (salmon with vegetables?). Just a suggestion!

The Black Cat is a great spot for meeting up with friends because of the large outdoor space. Drinks are always great and the staff does a great job. It can get pretty hectic on the weekends, and I usually only stick to the outdoor space because it can get cramped inside, but definitely one of my local favorite bars with a very significant history within the LGBT community.

The Black Cat was a surprise! We ate on the outdoor patio (catio) which was a lovely space. The food was delicious and a really good value. I had the soup, sole, and shared desserts. Most of all, the service was top notch, everyone being kind & friendly. We had a great experience & will be back again.
