Chilled for an afternoon. Good wifi, atmosphere, and drink options. They have two couches if you want a chiller vibe and plenty of desk space for the size.

Its really bare as far as decorations go. Kinda boring but internet is fast. I had the sparkling matcha which was really refreshing. Not sweet but not bitter. Parking is difficult and its next to a rehabilitation center so not the best location but it was good. They dont have a lot of options but if you like just coffee and tea this is nice.

Making my coffee run on Sunday afternoon and deciding to stop by Boy and The Bear intrigued by how crowded the place has always been every time I passed by regardless the time in the day. Despite being busy with guests, I loved how the cafe stayed pretty quiet with most guests indeed just spent their time on their laptops or books amidst the contemporary vibes.

Have been there multiple times before and trying their Stockholm Fog, Salted Caramel Latte, and Vanilla Latte and love them all! Balance between coffee, milk, and the flavored syrup were just right. Highly recommend to stop by for work, chill, or even just grabbing a cup to go.

Great modern coffee place, high quality indeed. The espresso here served in the best way I found so far in LA, a single shot, small chocolate cube, and small glass of sparkling water.
The mix of the three is just perfect, like a local coffee shop in a small village in Italy or Spain.
I’ve found the design a bit heavy, a little bit too gray and brutalist and some plastic trees, but seems like a promising great place which hopefully could have a bit more of color for inspiration. But definitely worth the time and space for a great coffee time!!

Consistently great coffee and a solid place to work or relax

The Boy & The Bear on Washington is one of the most reliable coffee shops in the area. The coffee is consistently excellent—smooth, balanced, and well-roasted without being overly bitter or acidic. They take their sourcing seriously, focusing on Colombian beans, and it shows in the flavor. Their espresso drinks are precise, and the drip and pour-over options are also strong if you’re looking for something less milky.

The shop itself is clean and minimalist, with a cool, modern vibe. Plenty of seating both inside and out. It’s a good environment to get work done—usually not too loud, and the Wi-Fi is dependable. Outlets can be limited during peak hours, but it’s manageable if you plan ahead.

The staff is professional and efficient. They know their stuff, but they’re not overbearing about it. Service is usually quick, even when it’s busy.

Pastries and small bites are fresh and good quality, though the food options are limited (as expected for a shop focused on coffee). They also participate in food waste reduction apps like Too Good To Go, which is a nice touch if you’re looking for a deal or care about sustainability.

Overall, this is a great neighborhood coffee spot—consistent, comfortable, and focused on doing a few things really well. Easy to recommend.

Excellent coffee. The baristas know their stuff and what to recommend. Very cozy. I could spend hours there.

I stop by this coffee shop regularly, and it’s consistently a favorite. I order the matcha latte, which is unsweetened, perfectly balanced, light and airy with a rich, full-bodied flavor. It’s made just right every time. The staff are consistently kind and attentive. On occasion, I’ll treat myself to one of their pastries, which are always fresh and delicious. This is a dependable spot with great attention to quality.

Not a good overall experience. The company is discriminatory to its customers. You may be better served at other local coffee shops (i.e. Alana's coffee roasters or 310 coffee).

I came for coffee and impulsively tried their iced green tea latte, which was delicious.
