Great place to get a Burger and shake, but you're going to have to bring your own straws, the paper straws they have are simply inadequate for the job.

Nice atmoshpere, but that was all. Ordered the special Tri-Tip Sandwich and it was terrible. The meat seemed to have been soaked in water for an extended period of time so it was like mush. I should have sent it back, but the waitress was nowhere to be found. I had always walked passed The Counter on the way to the La Brea Tar Pits and thought I would try it. What a mistake, never again.

Decent lunch/early dinner spot with good staff and servers. Nice option in an area without many eatery choices.

I have walked by "The Counter" on numerous occasions while enroute to the Tar Pits. Finally decided to stop and try them out for lunch. Nice interior, was seated quickly and the dinning area was really nice. I ordered the Tri Tip sandwich and the Parmesan Fries. The meal came rather quickly and I have to admit it was the worse Tri Tip sandwich I have ever had. The meat was like mush, like maybe it had been sitting in water for an extended period of time. I don't think whoever the cook was knew what he was doing to send this out to a table. I regret not sending it back, but it didn't seem to matter as the waitress was nowhere to be found. This was the first and last visit there.

Place is good. I had 15 minutes break so I run into random bar to get some cider, so I did. And was surprised of good service and warm ambiance. Good vibes

I came here while a friend had surgery near by. I got an impossible burger and it was outstanding. The shoestring fries were great to. Yancy, me server was fantastic. If I'm ever near here again, I'll definitely stop here for a burger!

Great burgers and sandwiches but a bit overpriced. The location is great for tourists and museum goers.
