The Grain Cafe - Mid City

Been vegan for 10 years and have eaten lots of vegan food in Los Angeles. This is one of, if not my FAVORITE vegan restaurant in LA. Amazing, amazing, amazing! 🩵

We've been going here when in the area for over 10 years. It remains the same but has grown over the years. It has good vegan breakfast which is awesome because we vegans hardly ever get to have vegan waffles and french toast which they have! It's a n otherwise typical cantina with great vegan pastries.
I haven't had their cocktails so I can't speak to that, but I'd love to come back for dinner and give it a taste. A great vegan option.

I am adalina, we purchase food from them. Regularly, but we recently purchased 2 awesome cakes for my grandson's fourth birthday. Because he is a vegan. I want to tell you they were excellent. The carrot cake and the mixed Berry cake was phenomenal. People that were non vegans was fighting over the cake from now on. I will order a 1 sheet. Good job, grain cafe. Thank you for making my grandson's birthday.An excellent one.He came there and chose the cakes himself and you guys outdid yourselves.Thank you so much.We will be back

First time coming here never trying a vegan asada burrito and I loved it! The mango michelada was so good I wish I could've finished it but it was huge! I'm definitely coming here again! The serve Juan was super nice! The atmosphere here is really good! The music level is perfect!

We might have been here on an off day! The service for brunch was quite slow despite there only being one other table with people in the restaurant. We found our food to be a bit boring and bland. My partner didn’t enjoy the coffee. I might give it another chance to try something different from their menu. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-27

Not sure I've seen such a diverse menu of real, quality options. Great atmosphere and service, even better food. Breakfast all day, too!

I came over to pick up DoorDash for myself and they didn’t make it because apparently it wasn’t updated on their end and there was a price adjustment. I came in 20 mins before they closed and they never called me and let me know this - I could have simply paid the difference instead I had no feed to eat.

Fully vegan. Had vegan tuna salad sandwich who woulda thunk... And... it was actually good and halfway realistic to actual tuna. Very tasty overall and huge menu.
