Went last night - it's called "The Moon Room" now. Great drinks and atmosphere. But I'm here to write about the chicken tenders. I ordered them as a "yeah, whatever. I need a snack" and I was super impressed... with chicken tenders. Obviously not microwaved from frozen, but juicy, fresh and tender with great flavor. Probably the best I've ever had. Who knew? Now we do.

We were guests at the JW Marriott and visited The Griffin a few times during our stay for a nigh cap. Great ambiance, nice outdoor tables if the weather cooperated, and some inventive cocktails. There was jazz each night from 10-12pm, and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

This is an unassuming place and a bit nondescript. There is a circular fireplace (enclosed) and lots of tables - so you'll likely find a spot for your group either large or small. There's additional seating outside. The staff seems short-staffed. But they are friendly and professional. I didn't have any food, but the burgers that I saw looked big and yummy. I was there part of a MeetUp group and the staff was accommodating and welcoming. If you're looking for pub grub, a drink and no pretension this is a good spot.

It's very unfortunate they gutted one one of the fire pits leaving only 1 inside. Completely changed the vibe. Just as well it seems they have skimped on their chicken wings!! My friend & I got the babiest of chicken wings! They're killing baby chickens now!?? Not thrilled if the new owner shy up - Moon Room :/

Bar itself is cozy, dive’y and fine. Staff was fine. But on a Friday night my friend booked a “room” on the side, the whole place had 9 people in it, our party was 25 people or so. I ordered and old fashioned and It was $17.60... a $2.60 cent automatic tip as punishment for bringing triple the customers the place would have otherwise had. — if you walked 20 feet to the main bar tip was voluntary as usual... I would file that under “outrageous b********

I had reserved a private room of Griffin Bar to join their count down party on Dec 31, 2018. I called Griffin to ask for the menu via different channels. Eventually I was asked to contact the manager Elly directly for the details. She was very helpful to response to my concern not limited to the set menu but also the traffic that night. We were a group of 13, so I had reserved a private room with a window. Although there’s min charges for the private room, and the cost was a bit high than the entrance fee, it’s worth for a large group. There’s a live band there and the atmosphere was good, we really enjoyed the countdown party at Griffin in Seoul.

It's not called the griffin anymore. Recently sold to new management. Drinks were not up to par with the old stuff. My blood orange cocktail was almost completely watered down. Food was ok but not as great as we remember when we used to go to the Griffin for dinner all the time. Sad to see it change to the "Moon Room".... what does that name have to do with anything of the ambiance of this spot?
