An alfresco lunch is always a great thing and the gumbo pot at the LA Farmers Market delivers a great experience. The walk up counter is staged by friendly servers and the menu has much to choose from. Expect personal service which may mean patience is in order. I ordered the shrimp Po boy and a lemonade. My husband ordered jambalaya which came with cornbread and a side. We both thought the flavors were good. I felt my baguette was a bit too much bread for the sandwich and redistributed...

It's a good place. The flavors are tasty, and the portions are Ok. It's a solid choice if you're craving some classic Cajun comfort food, though not overly exceptional. Still, definitely worth a try.

Despite the rest of the reviews being poor I thought I'd give it a go.
Gumbo and the meats/shrimp in it were fresh and tasty.
Not the best gumbo I've ever had but nothing to argue about
