I was looking forward to going here as the Ivy has been around forever and always looked busy. We thought we would try it during restaurant week. Very disappointing experience. The food was just OK; nothing special and the noise level was almost unbareable, very loud. Husband had chicken gumbo to start and enchiladas for main. Red velvet cake for dessert. I had the fried zuchini blossoms stuffed with goat cheese to start. A bit too much coating and extremely crunchy, little flavor....
I usually love the Ivy, but this time I did the dine LA menu and ordered the pork chop which was extremely flavorful; however it was cooked rare and pretty pink in the center. I know because of health care background the consequences we see in the hospital from persons eating undercooked pork. The staff seemed a bit inconvenienced when I asked for it to be cooked well. The waiter did not appear to know the menu, he said the ravioli was lobster ravioli and it was actually pumpkin...
This was the best experience ever because of Brandon. Brandon ensured such a pleasant experience for a large ground of people and I couldn't be more pleased. I came in with a party of 7 with my parent in laws, aunt and uncle, and cousin and Brandon felt like family in our group as our server. I feel so blessed for this experience. I will absolutely be coming back and would like to purchase an Ivy sweatshirt online with Brandon embroidered on the chest. Thank you the Ivy!...
