I’m still mad that we somehow dropped $150 on a cheesesteak, some sliders, fried calamari and four mediocre drinks. This is a dive bar with rooftop bar prices. Come on, it’s fried food on Pico boulevard, not the ritz. If we ever come back, we’re getting dinner elsewhere first.
My nephew was playing keyboards there, recently. Loved the band, but the server/waitress was just rude. I asked if they had root beer, nope. So, I said, “Can you pls tell me what you DO have, then, as far as nonalcoholic drinks?” She said, “Just the regular… (pause)“ (OK, I’ll play?!?$@).
“No, I don’t know what the etc. etc. is!” It really was ridiculous, particularly since we could barely hear each other, screaming over the too loud music! She may work...
Nice club. Met the owner, a very nice guy. It's a great club, sound was good, bands were local and from Nashville. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the cover is reasonable $20 last time I was there. Decent acoustics band was loud but could still order drinks without having to scream at the bartender.
