A secret, not so secret, Tiki Bar inside of Clifton's Republic in downtown LA. On the 3rd floor of Clifton's, down a hall, there is a full body mirror. Push the mirror (if it isn't already open) and it opens to a stair well. Take the stair well to the top and enter the Pacific Seas. Very nice island vibe with a boat in the center. This is a cool tiki bar, but the inconvenience of going through Clifton (the waits at the Clifton entrance AND Pacific Seas entrance once inside, as well as the $20 cover charge on a Saturday) in order to get to this bar and lounge on the 4th floor, along with the overpriced drinks inside Clifton, take away from the overall experience and make it far less appealing. Enjoyed my Zombie cocktail; my date enjoyed his Mai Tai. Fun venue decorated in a mish-mash of 1920s - 1960s tropical objets d'art. Some very beautiful pieces and some just plain silly. All fine at a bar.
