Went today before a movie at the 3, although I've lived in the neighborhood for years this is my first and last time at the Punchbowl. Walked into an empty juice bar, no one at the counter. After calling out a woman came out that was less than happy to see us. I looked over the green juices and asked which one she liked best. She gave us the surliest most put out answer, so we ordered quickly- clearly she's too busy for friendliness? Anyway, she took the juice bottles out of the glass case, for the price I was surprised they weren't fresh squeezed but I guess it was just as well since I didn't want to spend a minute more with this cashier who was super inconvenienced by customers apparently. Do yourself a favor and go around the corner to Earth Organic Juice bar. Way friendlier service and juice.

Really great and veggie and fruit shakes

Great spot for a mid-day smoothie. Not smoothie bowls— I got the honey bee which was basically a strawberry banana smoothie and it was delish! I’d still prefer backyard bowl though

I came for a health boost to fight a cold and the selection was great. The woman working was really helpful and I honestly think it kicked my potential ailment. I will be back to try their shakes for sure!

Expensive but delicious. They do fill your smoothie to the rim. Lots of different smoothie options.

Violet is by far the best employee I've ever encountered. She honestly deserves a raise. I always see her here working super hard.

Whenever my day is going left, Punchbowl makes it right again. The Rita Hayworth is my go to order and it's truly a transcendent experience. Thank you, Punchbowl

Such good smoothies!! Great for a meal replacement while you walk around Los Feliz or up to the Observatory. The staff is well educated in their ingredients as well. Highly recommend.

The vibes are offfff!!! Used to be so lively and fun, now it's dark and unhappy. The person working there didn't let me use the bathroom and was not friendly. Smoothies went up in price even more and aren't good anymore. Sad :(

Returning to LA after three years of traveling Europe, I wanted to visit my favorite smoothie shop. Boy, has this changed. New ownership and snarky employees who act like customers are a bother make this such an unpleasant experience now. And the smoothies aren't made with the same amount of ingredients. They refuse to add any custom items as the old shop did. I've tried it several times since returning to the US and absolutely hated each experience. Once I got into a heated argument with an employee who made it clear my order was a bother. Never going back.

Something has changed. The place looks dark and the smoothies are no longer as good. The person working there was definitely not friendly like all the other people who used to work there a few years ago. What changed? I am definitely not going back.

Definitely a cool spot to grab a unique smoothie. Service was quick and kind. Smoothie is delicious. You should totally check it out sometime.

Just okay. Nothing special about this joint. I haven't tried the juices so this is based solely off the shakes. For starters, $30 for 2 smoothies.. lol. My bf and I tried the mango lassi and strawb/banana shakes. Both were bland and not sweet at all - which is fine, but flavor is still seriously lacking. Really curious if I came on a off day but nothing about Punchbowl would entice me to be back. I don't think I would come here again.

I love the combinations they choose for their smoothies here, and the fact that they're not sweet, almost at all. I also love that not everything has banana or vanilla or frozen yogurt in it (I think the whole menu may actually be vegan, but don't quote me on that). It is expensive, yes, but on a morning I have a Punchbowl smoothie, I'm not usually hungry until late lunchtime. It's like eating a full meal. They also fill it way past the top of the cup.Only once have I managed to NOT order the mango saffron lassi, which will ruin you for all other mango lassis you'll ever have with its cashewmilk base, orange blossom water, and big chunks of coconut meat. That one time, I ordered the cinnamon blossom and it was just as good. Despite having dates in it, it too managed, miraculously, also not to be super sweet.
