The food was good, however there was just one person who was the host, bar keeper, & server for the entire restaurant. He did his best at trying to do everything by himself., but several large groups made it difficult. I asked if there was a manager or anyone else to help., but he indicated there was nobody else who worked for the restaurant. It turned into a very long time for dinner

We had a nice dinner. You can tell they are trying to keep the vibe going now that is no longer a part of Cipriano. The appetizers were good (not great), the mushroom gnocchi excellent but very rich, and the cacio e pepe very dry made with the bucatini especially as it gets colder as one eats it. The service was earnest and they really try, but could use some better direction. With a strong leader, this place is set it soar.

The four of us had an excellent server, James. The food was good, not great, considering the prices. But the restaurant was pleasant to be in and we were able to talk and hear each other because it wasn't noisy.

The restaurant was cold (temperature wise) and they couldn't seem to fix it. Several guests were wearing jackets. Doors were tied shut with napkins & still blowing open. Drinks took forever.

Il Moderno used to be Mr C restaurant in the hotel. It is the same lovely quiet, chic ambience. The menu is a bit different but quite nice. The food is delicious. Very amiable service. Easy if costly parking. It's like going to Europe without the jet lag. Miss the divine pure white cake.
