OK… I can only assume the lease in the space is pricing but I’ll tell you what the little café next-door had a line wrapped around when we realized should’ve gone there but I figured this place looks like a nice menu. I waited for almost 15 minutes for a simple salmon sandwich that should be easy to make.
I told the lady that rang me up three times. I wanted the bun toasted and I would like it very crunchy.
I asked her for an additional side of crispy, bacon and cucumbers
15 minutes later when the food arrived, I walked half a block away on the cedars campus to a nice little area to sit down and open up my sandwich. Only need to find out that the bacon is so soggy. I mean, I don’t even think it has anything crispy on it it’s basically like salami. The bread wasn’t toasted at all. There was no cucumbers and then to top it. I simply asked for salt and pepper because I love salmon with salt and they said they don’t have salt pepper. It’s a fricking sandwich shop. The customer service is awful. They were speaking Hispanic the whole time. In fact, I felt like I was interrupting them. It took entirely way too long to make a sandwich and the fact that they don’t have salt and pepper and couldn’t even follow my directions. I’m sorry, but I have no clue why this place is here. Everybody says it’s the worst and now I understand why I do not go here don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your money. There’s no management here. It’s a poorly run shop. It’s probably a tax write off for somebody.

Good food, unfriendly staff
Food is great but almost every time I go there after 2pm the staff tells me they’re out of beef and chicken. It seems like they don’t want to make a lot of the menu after the lunch rush. I wonder if management is even aware of this issue.
Haven’t been here in a long time but I see the service and atmosphere is still a drag after all these years lol.. time for something new here? Also I left with nothing because they didn’t have bagels so it was pointless
Please feel free to zoom in and take a look at the colony growing on the lamps above your food. Enjoy
Some of the best sandwiched in LA, made with heart by the owner Cena. Since going there initially I've gone back there a handful of times because of the sandwiches and also to support a small business owner like Cena who provides a great product and always does it with a smile.
These simple order take forever to prepare and they are not prepared in order. The service is bad and the food/ drinks are extremely overpriced for the quality.

I just ordered a grilled pastrami with corned beef. I got one slice of pastrami and loaded with pickles and boat load of mustard.
Everything is so good and fresh. The salads are delicious. The staff is always friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend this place.
Great small shop with affordable menu items.
