This place is cute to come get a drink and hang. I️ came in here after work to finish some work on my lap top and grab a beer. There were about 7-8 people in the whole place. I️ put my stuff at a high top and went up to the bar to grab a drink. The bartender said they’d send a server over.. okay cool. I️ went to turn around then she said and I️ noticed you have a laptop, we don’t allow laptops after 6pm. Weird. I’d understand if it were a room full of people or a busy night. But there was hardly anyone there. I️ ended up leaving. Just a weird interaction.

This is totally a hidden gem. Im glad I came across and finally got to enjoy. The vibe here was fantastic. Its a dark mellow fun atmosphere. Perfect for drinks and chatting. The staff was so friendly . One of the reason why this is such a great place to be able to still socialize while there music and other people is cus the surround system is vintage and was personalized to be played up high over everything which makes the place more comfortable. The food was marvelous wasn't expecting a Mediterranean twist but definitely loving it gave the food a special kick to the flavors . The combination of the spices and texture made the food amazing. I tried the steak and fries 10/10 and the shrimp roll be cause I love shrimp. And I loved them both . Personally I like dillso I was ok with the shrimp roll but for my ppl that dont like to try new thing I would recommend to stay away. The drinks were delicious. I had mexican can shots and Jennifer gray . Both I highly recommend. Also a mango cart cocktail but which was delicious also but it has a habanero taste to it thats not my favorite. But still enjoyed it. Something else I learned was the mixers are made natural from all the spices or fruits . Naturally extracted with also give the drinks that extra flavor. More natural and not processes. This is definitely a place to come and enjoy with friends. There was actually a birthday being celebrated and they show movies on a roll down projector this is event worthy for people looking to host an event here.

I've searched for months to find a place like this. Absolutely amazing vibes here. Beautiful interior and comfy seating. Unique music and chill atmosphere. Food was SOOO good, but they don't have ranch 😫. Either way... my new favorite spot in LA!!

We've always loved coming to Semi-Tropic, so we hosted our birthday party here this past Saturday. Eren was very responsive to us and helped us reserve two seating areas and some additional tables. Instead of us having to wait at the bar, servers came to take our orders from the seating area, and were all really friendly and attentive. The vibe is great and we loved the drinks!

one of the best bar experiences you could ever ask for. i hosted a party of about 35 people and eren helped me arrange that seamlessly. they offered comfortable lounge seating with no minimum charge which was amazing. they even allowed me to bring my own DJ on a weekday. we were catered to in every way. our server did an excellent job at attending to us and clearing old cups and plates out of the way.
10/10 would come here again. my colleagues were very impressed and would love to host here.
