Great bar - solid selection of good beers, legit menu of food options, several big TVs for watching sports, and you can order easily from your table. I come here almost 1x a week with a group and we always have a good time.

Almost everything was perfect except the raw chicken.

Beer came out fast. Chicken sandwich started off being one of the best tasting I’ve had. Cocktail with scotch and earl grey was original and strong while maintaining the subtle taste of the concoction.

Issue was the chicken sandwich center was undercooked. Bartender/waitress explained thighs are pink in center. I also fry my own chicken thighs at home, and while the pink part is true, my sandwich was hard to chew in the center; it was more undercooked than usual with texture more akin to rawer meat. I want to believe this accident is one off because I would love to come back.

Been here a number of times to read or work while having a drink and a fish and chips, and it has never disappointed. Very nice vibe, great bartenders, spacious, good beer selection.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Burger was burnt, salads were iceberg lettuce (come on, it’s not the 90s), bartender was a grump, server did her best but was the only one working during happy hour so was swamped, and they didn’t even have their own beers…I should’ve known a place with a Friday night happy hour was clearly struggling to produce anything worth consuming.

A little too dark for me but the beers are good. The one food. The one item I tried (curry hummus) was very tasty.

The Stalking Horse

The Stalking Horse in Los Angeles is more than just a British-inspired pub and brew house—it’s a place where amazing food, great drinks, and genuine kindness come together. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

If you’re a fan of classic British comfort food, their fish and chips are an absolute standout. Crispy, perfectly battered fish paired with golden fries—this dish alone is worth the visit. Combine that with a pint of their expertly brewed beer or a well-crafted cocktail, and you have the recipe for a truly satisfying meal.

What really makes The Stalking Horse special, though, is the people who work there. One team member in particular, Alex, deserves a shoutout for his unwavering kindness and dedication. He treats everyone with the same level of respect and care, whether they’re ordering a full meal or just stopping by for a quick drink. Alex is the kind of person who goes above and beyond, and his positive attitude leaves a lasting impression.

One story that speaks volumes about Alex and the heart of The Stalking Horse is how they treat a local homeless man who occasionally stops by for a cup of hot water for his noodles. Alex, along with the rest of the team, treats him with the same dignity and kindness as any other guest. It’s a small gesture, but it’s one that reflects a much bigger commitment to compassion and community.

To the owner: if you’re reading this, please know that Alex is an incredible asset to your team. His kindness and professionalism embody everything that makes The Stalking Horse such a special place. Honestly, he deserves a raise—his hard work and genuine care make all the difference.

For anyone visiting, make sure to say hello to Alex and thank him for his kindness. The Stalking Horse isn’t just a place to grab a meal—it’s a place that reminds you of the good in people.

If you’re in Los Angeles, do yourself a favor and visit The Stalking Horse. Enjoy the fish and chips, soak in the welcoming atmosphere, and take a moment to appreciate the wonderful people who make this place so unique. You’ll leave feeling full, happy, and a little more hopeful about the world.

This is one of the best neighborhood pubs in LA. The house made beer is superb. Service is great shout out to Layla.

The location is also very convenient on Pico just a few blocks west of Beverly Glen.

They also do a fun trivia contest with prizes on Tuesday nights.

I enjoy the sports on the big screens(appreciate no volume). Their housemade beer(minibrewery you can watch on the premises)is top ten in my book with a great, relaxing buzz.

The wings and fish and chips rate an A in my book but the pizza was a C for me(only negative I've had here).

Highly recommended.

I'm in Beverly Hills once a year to visit family and I escape them by taking our dog on a long walk to the Stalking Horse - and honestly it's the best meal I have for the entire trip. Last year it was their southwest chicken Caesar salad, this year it was the pesto chicken sandwich... the bread was perfect, the chicken was perfect, and it was literally just artichoke dip as the spread on the sandwich, what more could you ask for? The beer is not bad either.

Stopped by because we were in the neighborhood for an appt and we were craving a brewery-type experience. The beer is good! And worth the stop! Don’t trust the menu online because it will be different when you stop in! But I liked this and to me that means you’ll always get a new, different selection of good craft beer. As well as a new or newer keg. 5/5 for that. Food was about 4/5 because the menu is small, food is fine but not super awesome and it does take a while even if they’re not full. But we had a good enough experience, we will for sure be back. Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is solid. And I like that it’s large enough there is lots of different styles of seating to choose from. Biggest takeaway: good beer. And it’s not all West Coast IPA’s which is worth 5/5 stars all on its own since I hate IPA. ?

I gave it a two because my wife liked the fish and chips, but I had what has to be one of the worst burgers in LA! It was the size of a slider and completely tasteless. The bacon was over cooked and tasteless with three slices of jalapeños as the only condiment. Your choice of what was called cheese tasted more like a petroleum distillate than cheese? The service was okay and we both liked the interior and layout.
