Great spot! I came here 10 years ago, and was delighted to find out it is still open. Same charm: dark wood, sweeping curtains, smokey cocktails, red leather couches, jazz music. We had the chicken bites, a glass of cab sauv, and one of the lychee cocktails. Everything was good but the lychee wasn't overwhelmingly good- I will probably switch to a whiskey based drink next time. The chicken was a perfect small bite to pair with drinks. Everyone there seemed to be a pair: first dates, deep conversations, etc. There are tables in the main room, couches in the fireplace room, and a long bar.

Space is cool, live music is great, but drinks are awful (poorly made), and approximately 20 dollars per drink. Service is good, and it's all table service now, even for drinks. Come for the vibes, but you can get much better cocktails elsewhere.

My new found favorite for friends and familiy gathering. Classic old English charm with good selection of foods and drinks. Live music performances few times a week. Reasonably priced that you won't be disappointed. Nice cool ambience.

It was a Sunday night and my first time at The Wellesbourne. Impression: Old English theme, clean, relax and classy. Great place for friends gathering. My family and I had a great time the other night at The Wellesbourne. Among the four of us, We ordered four dishes to share and everything tasted so yummy. Prices were reasonable, too. We think the owner and his team have put a lot of thought into creating their food and drink menu. The presentation is eye pleasing and tastes are no ordinary bar food. In this day and age, having a decent meal and not break your bank is not easy and The Wellesbourne is definitely THE place to go tp if you want to have fun, relaxation and good food with friends and families. Oh... if you want to go alone, that's fine, too. LOL.... Since I have gluten allergy, I was even able to find food that I can eat. We ordered French Fries with Truffle Parmesans (I think the fries tasted just as good as fries I get from In-N-Out or Shake Shack. Truffle flavor, however, can be enhanced a little more I think. I love Truffle a lot. So maybe it's enough for other people. Just saying....), Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad (I have never eaten shaved brussel sprout before and this dish by far is my favorite. The flavor is just right and they gave us generous amount of dried cranberries in this dish.), Onion Rings with Siracha Mayo (I didn't eat this but my family said they were perfectly done), and Red Wine Braised Short Rib (The most expensive dish in the menu but we think it's well worth it. They must have braised the beef overnight because the flavor is totally infused into the meat and it is tender and juicy. Just thinking about it makes my mouth watering. LOL... Yes. It was thaaaaattttt good. It also comes with garlic potato puree and asparagus so you won't be hungry if you want to eat this as a meal.) We ordered two Blackberry Mint Mock Mule (a Mocktail and it was nicely done and very tasty), a Nikka Cofrey Grain Japanese Whisky and a newly created drink (very good but I forgot the name). If you don't want non-alcoholic drink like me (destinated driver), yes, they do have good selections to choose from. The ambiance is nothing I have seen in any of the bar/restaurant in the LA area. When I walked in, I felt like I have been transported to the 19th century England. They even have live music performances but unfortunately not on the night we were there. I guess it's a good excuse to go back again then. LOL.... We were welcomed by a friendly server and since it was still early in the evening we were able to choose where we want to sit. There are four sections to this place and each one has its unique style and ambiance. They even have a fireplace so you will feel nice and cozy on a cold winter day. When you first walk in, you will face the section that looks like an old library loaded with books. You really have to go to experience that old English charm. Very impressive. It's very clean and love the vibe there. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place for reunion or just a nice and clean place yet with style to relax after work or on the weekend.

Love this bar. The drinks are top notch, real mixology and the atmosphere is amazing. Fireplace, pianist, old school couches, super attentive waitstaff. It's like from another century.Just one thing: why is it so cold? Maybe shut the door? Idk, it just seems like the AC is on full blast all the time.

I've been here for drinks before but never for dinner. I would never recommend this for food. It wasn't my choice and even mentioned that I didn't know they had food. Unfortunately forgot to take photos. Everything appeared to be good. But looks can be deceiving. We got the shaved "brussels sprouts" salad. It didn't seem like Brussels sprouts but almost like limp drenched lettuce. SO much dressing and SO much Parmesan. The "grilled" shrimp was small packed frozen shrimp with a strange tomato dipping sauce that tasted like a tangy Cholula. The red wine braised brisket was incredibly overcooked and stringy as well as chewy and tough. Essentially was like jerky that was put in a slow cooker. It was truly tough to swallow every bite. I didn't want to waste the food and I was also really hungry so I ate a lot of it but I wanted to send it all back to be quite frank. Also it was chilly out tonight and windy but they left the front door open. WHY. We had to change tables 4 times..! It was horrible lol and there was also a family that was letting their baby girl run around and hop up on our couch multiple times.

Great date night spot! Cozy for two, small to large groups; appreciated the various rooms' mix of lounge and table seating.

We didn’t get food but we were there for about 5 hours and had plenty of drinks. The service was great and the drinks come out fairly quickly. We had a party of ten and the reservation was easy to make. It is definitely a pricier spot for cocktails but worth the $ for a small birthday celebration (not for a regular hangout, etc)
