Change of owners. Not really Mongolian BBQ anymore since you can't select ingredients, sauces, or meats anymore; everything prepared out back. Not recommended

Eat here now! Get both the fish taco AND Mongolian beef plate.

Lemonade is a solid choice.

‘Mongolian’ menu is overpriced and unfortunately no longer resembles actual Mongolian cuisine. I would look elsewhere!

Stopped for one place, went to another…
Had a mongol apatite so I had the Mongol, maybe it had ME!
All I know is it was great. People there was awesome and the atmosphere was chill.
I would certainly recommend going, so should you.

I love what they've done with the place. Very cozy spot with a TV. I ordered the chicken Mongolian with the expectations of loading my own bowl with tons of veggies. Nope! There is a list of veggies that are included and you just let her know what not to include. I was little concerned about how the food would come out because the cooking technique was a little simplified compared to the previous owner. The food is still cooked on the large wood stove. It was more like cooking on a griddle technique. BUT! I must say the food was good. It did remind me of yakisoba. Had tons of flavor. Carrots were delicious and sweet. Right amount of spice. I only wish the portion size was a little bigger for the price and that they had pineapple.

The original owner of Three Flames, the woman who owned and ran the place for 50 years, retired and sold the business about 2 months ago. The new owner cleaned up and redecorated what had been a sad, dark little dump with good food, kept the name but changed the menu. Three Flames is now a clean, lively Mexican fusion joint specializing in tasty seafood tacos, hamburgers, and various specials. Only two Mongolian dishes remain on the menu: beef and chicken. Gone is the self-serve vegetable bar with it's dizzying selection of chopped vegetables and flavored oils. Now your Mongolian dish is prepped out-of-sight in the kitchen, half-heartedly cooked on the old circular grill out front, and comes to your table along with two tiny, grudgingly provided plastic thimbles of Mongolian sauce. The portion, though still flavorful, is disappointingly small compared to what you used to get in the old days. The verdict: the old Three Flames is gone. Don't come here for Mongolian, come for the overpriced Mexican fusion.

I genuinely recommend you do not get the Mongolian food. The past owner was nice old lady and the new owners are focused more on their Mexican menu. No more love in the food. Looks and tastes like Yakisoba. I spent 48 dollars to receive portions that are half the size and the beef tastes cheap like some ibp stuff…

Reminiscing of the good ole days with the previous owner (female) who ran the place by herself.

You left a lasting legacy and big shoes to fill for the new owners.

Hope you enjoy a well deserved retirement from working.

Many blessings and thank you for the memories and delicious food over the years.

PS: miss the love she put into the food especially the Shao Bing.

The food, the staff, the vibes, all awesome. We went off of the staff recommendations for food and got the albacore tostada, rock cod taco, rock shrimp taco, and the burger just to try a little of everything off their new menu. The albacore tostada has incredible flavor. This spot is a little tucked away but it’s well worth a stop.

Coming from the airport and waiting for family, we were all hungry and ready to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by this amazing place! Been around fifty years, this restaurant has undergone a renovation that is hoping to make its re-opening in March. We were lucky enough to try it during their soft opening phase, their new menu launched Monday 02/24/2025. The rock shrimp and cod tacos were amazing, perfectly paired with their pineapple habanero sauce, but the real star of the show was the albacore tostada. Everything here tastes fresh, the service is friendly and makes you feel right at home. We hope to be back the next time we visit Los Angeles!

If you're looking for a laid-back dinner spot with great vibes and delicious seafood, this place is a must-visit! The seafood tostadas are absolutely mouthwatering—fresh, flavorful, and piled high with generous portions of seafood that are perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is charming, with a cute, cozy vibe that feels like a hidden gem. The music playing in the background sets the perfect tone, adding to the relaxed ambiance. Whether you're here to grab a cold beer or enjoy a glass of wine, they've got you covered. It's the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy great food, and soak in the good energy. Highly recommend!
