Very unhappy with this store. 8:15 - order placed on Uber Eats and says 23 min delivery time. It took until 8:42 for Tocaya to cancel the order, saying they were unable to complete the order. Bullshit.

We used to eat at least 3 times a week at the tocaya location in Scottsdale, Az. Return after 3 months to some crappy, sodium ridden, not as gluten friendly menu. Old owners need to buy this company back because the big company sucks.

Easily the worst retail experience I've had since... ever. The Shift Supervisor "Princess" was categorically rude and void of any customer service training. I would never recommend this restaurant that clearly doesn't value or respect its patrons!! If only I could rate this place as a "zero" star restaurant! Should be listed on Yelp's and Reddit's "Worst Restaurant in Los Angeles!" Maybe it will...

Good food but service was a bit slow. It took 1-2 minutes to be helped, as staff were busy fulfilling food delivery orders. I placed an order at the counter around 3:30 for a torta combo (side + agua Fresca). Was able to substitute vegan cheese at no additional cost. Agua Fresca was served immediately (resembles kombucha in taste profile) which I enjoyed. The side I ordered, plantain chips + guacamole, was served in 18 minutes. I thought the portion of chips was fairly generous, and both chips and guacamole were light on the salt. Torta was served at 21 minutes. It was a bit smaller than I expected, but flavor was great and it was served with a bright salsa. I wouldn’t say the torta on its own was worth the price but the combo was worth it in my opinion. Upper balcony was closed when I visited, seats had outlets available. Atmosphere was bright and airy (lots of natural light) and good music. If you have some time to spare, I would definitely pay a visit.
Vegetarian options: Many dishes can have the meat swapped out for a vegetarian alternative

One of my fav restaurants. Everything is so fresh and yummy!
I was hungry and wanted to have a beer, so one taco and a beer cost $6.30, which was a reasonable price. Beer is served in cans. You have to bring your own drinks from the fridge and pay, so it's good for people who have trouble deciding on drinks based on the menu.

My visit to Tocaya was nothing short of great, thanks to an outstanding employee (Anthony) (Rosa) who made the experience memorable. Outgoing, attentive, honest, and respectful, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. His suggestion to try the Fajia Burrito, which he creatively reconnected to the menu, was off the charts good!
The atmosphere was vibrant, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. Thanks to this exceptional employee, I rate Tocaya a solid 5/5 and look forward to my next visit!r
