Having eaten Korean food for the past 20+ years, I am still looking for authentic, home style food cooked by a chef that believes in the divine taste of simple ingredients. Tofu Ya is a great place to dine in. We walked in on a Saturday evening and were greeted by the lady in charge immediately. They have such expansive menu and many options to choose a " combo ", the seafood tofu soup and bimbimbap combo is such an amazing treat, super well-balanced flavor and the rice is perfectly served, the service was so fast! I would definitely come back !

While traveling, I wanted to eat Korean food and found this place on Google Maps. I had sundubu and bulgogi. It also came with a variety of small side dishes and was delicious.

Horrible service, been here before but the guy who helped us was horrible. My friend asked for recommendations as it was her first time and he avoided answering the question. The. She asked what popular and he gave a very vague answer.
Food was good but keep in mind no alcohol here, so crowds are less. Parking in sawtelle is always a pain, nothing new there.
But when asked for additional (free) sides he was hesitant to give them. Then when getting boxes to go he gave us a few and then when we asked for more. He said he cannot give more and we cannot take our sides home. Keep in mind our sides were only 2 extra which in Korean resturants are unlimited!!!
Wont be coming back here for dine in at least horrible horrible experience. My friend threw all her food out due to this mans bad vibes.

It was delicious and accommodating. I had the beef bulgogi with rice and a ton of Broccoli per request and it was delicious. It scratch that kbbq feel I was having 100%
Dietary restrictions: Like I said above I requested broccoli only for the veggies and they accommodated me no extra charge.

The stew was quite plain, not spicy at all. The toppings weren’t various at all. The rice bowl was quite cool which wasn’t expected.

Love the food here but there was a piece of plastic in my food
I have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and so is the service. I love the side dishes, every last one. It's in a great area for dessert after.

Option for a Quick meal. Not the best Korean dishes I’ve had but it’s decent.
This restaurant serves all sorts of Tofu soup. And you can customize the spicy level. 1x is pretty spicy already.
I like their cold noodle. It’s pretty authentic and brings a refreshing touch. Perfect for summertime.
Side dishes are tasty and big portion.
They also have specials combo you can mix and match bbq meat+main course.
Vegetarian options: Cold noodle. Tofu soup. Kimchi pancake.

Te
He waitress/proprietor was very rude to us, and we ordered bibimbap, and she replies by saying "that's it?", after we ate there, my friend and I both got stomach ache. Avoid this place and go few stores down to Seoul tofu at the Plaza next to daiso!

Delicious! Parking is always madness, but the food is worth it.
Probably the worst Korean food I've ever had, let alone the servers being confused. The food is the same price, if not more, than most places in ktown but SIGNIFICANTLY worse in taste, quality, and quantity.

Tofu Ya has the best tasting soondubu in town.Update: Have been coming for like 20 years. Quality has really gone down the last few years. The soon dubu broth has changed and is much less flavorful. There's always been misses here and there over the years but probably the last 8 times I've had Tofu Ya, it was just not good consistently.I really hope this gets turned around b/c this for the longest time was my favorite spot in LA.
