Love Tom Bergins! I have lived in the hood for 20 years and drove by this place many times. but finally wandered in w my boo and have been a regular ever since! I always get the Pilsner , which tastes delish! Their food is awesome too! The shepherds pie, pretzel bites and patty melts are my favorites. They also have specials, last time I got the Filet O Fish sandwich, so good! The atmosphere is very chill, nice neighborhood bar / Irish pub with a very long history. The bartenders are always nice, you have to try this spot. They are only really opened on the weekends so plan accordingly!

Went on Saint Patrick’s day and they made sure to put on a great environment with different vibes outside and inside. Staff was very nice, professional and ready to help.We surely had to queue to get in and for a drink but pints were of very good quality. Will be definitely bringing my Irish boyfriend back.

Don't go by the Yelp menu price listing it's completely outdated. The prices are about 30% higher. They don't list prices on their website likely because it would turn off many customers

This is THEE place to go for St. Patrick's Day. A truly authentic Irish pub with great live music and great drinks. If you're a lover of history then you'll appreciate that this Irish pub has been around since the early 1900s. Friendly and QUICK staff that was somehow able to keep the bar moving as they served so many people for the celebration. Good prices too. I also felt really safe because they have solid security that made their presence known without being intimidating or jerks. So that was really appreciated. The only slight draw back is that for the celebration they had a limited menu, so we weren't able to experience the full food items.

Longtime neighborhood resident and couple time a year visitor to Tom Bergin's. Most locals know the roller coaster ride that Tom Bergins has been on to stay open the last maybe seven years or so. Met friends there and was excited to go. Heard there was new management.... sorry to say was disappointed with the food quality. I had some pretzel bites that were so terrible. I've had pretzel bites at Applebee's that were 100 times better. They were hard sort of stale and had no salt or butter? My favorite used to be Tom Bergin's Reuben sandwich and their fish and chips, but after I got the pretzel bites, I was hesitant to order. Had a couple of beers. The service was pretty good. It was a Friday around 5:30 PM and it wasn't very crowded in the bar. What made me really a little sad was as we walked out around 7 PM, the entire dining room was empty. If there's anyway, they can get their food on point to Gastropub quality people will come back in droves.

If you want a great St, Patty day go somewhere else!!!!!!! Undercooked bad tiny boxed corn beef and cabbage for $20. Shitty music! No seating! Hot sun but they are selling hats for $45.

Tom Bergin's isn't just a neighborhood bar, it's a real institution within this amazing little mid-city community. It's a tremendously homey and historic Irish pub right off of Fairfax with great food, friendly bartenders, and lots of doggos. I love this place. My dog Beau loves this place. I will be visiting weekly so long as I live here.

It's been maybe 6-8 months since I last ate at Tom Bergin's. The food is greasier and portions smaller. Ordering diner at the bar is still annoying and the beer list never seems up to date. Regardless it's an LA institution and I'll probably be back in another 6-8 months.
