From the first moment you arrive in that place team give you an excellent feeling. Very congenial hosts, it is a kind place to to go out with your friends or with your date. delicious cooking, professional chef de cuisine, comfortable price and courteous service. Highly recommended.

Great service, plenty of foods that are available range from Japanese cuisine to Korean cuisine. The price are fair, and foods are delicious. The lunch combo is a great deal. Bar counter is available.

So UPDATE: I originally gave 3 stars because of a serious fruit fly issue, but I went again tonight because the sushi was so good and I am so happy to report that NO FRUIT FLIES!!!! This place has great service and great sushi. I am so happy they took care of the issues. Will be back frequently because I work and live 5 minutes away!

BUYER BEWARE - They have a huge sign out front that brings people in, offering Buy 2 Get 1 Free on any roll - THIS IS NOT REAL. My girlfriend and I went in tonight, after seeing this sign around our neighborhood for months, deciding to finally give it a try. I must say, the rolls and food quality was good! However...upon receiving our check we noticed we were charged for all 3 rolls. When we asked about it, the waitress told us "Oh...that's actually an old promotion...but we are going to have a new one very soon!" This is a complete, intentional scam. Again the food was good, just beware of the B.S.

Love the sushi! And fast service! The ex-girlfriend roll was amazing. They also have Korean dishes if you're in the mood for soups or bibimbop.

We're done with Tomodachi sad to say. Long time customers. Something happened in the last month or so. New owner? New management? Definitely new servers. Had delivery 3 weeks ago and it was almost unrecognizable and inedible from what we usually get. Portions were smaller, quality of fish not good at all and the order had more than a few mistakes. Ok every spot has a bad night. Tried it again dining in and it was definitely different. New menus, new servers and just very meh food. Bulgogi has changed and is way off. Mainly onions and mushrooms and poor quality meat. Tofu soup was average but just not what it used to be. Someone must have left the kitchen recently. What compounded the lackluster food was the incredibly bad service. Not rude, just inexperienced and inattentive...half empty restaurant with the two servers just talking to each other. Never checked in on us or refilled drinks, forgot two items and then took 5 minutes to finally bring more tea(after we asked). It's a bummer as it was easy and decent. Now it's below average food and terrible service.

Really great sushi at a reasonable price. We came right as they were about to close since we had just seen a play at the UCLA Geffen Theatre but they were super sweet and accommodating. Definitely would visit again!

Delicious, sorry about the soju

It is either I misunderstood their spicy scales or they mess up my order. I ordered a mild spicy assorted tofu stew in this restaurant. This is what they called "mildly"- a bowl of chili red soup base.Last time they gave me a pinky soup base for the "no spicy" order.

A little small, but never feels super crowded. Food is good. Service is good. And they don't always check ID (my friend who is 21 had the soju cocktail in 2 flavors, which she enjoyed).

Decent food for the price. Had California roll, curry rice, bibimbap. All decent. Sadly no side dishes:(

This place is good for the price. A solid lunch option, but you're usually in for a bit of a wait. I'd say the Cali roll is a 4/10. Won't blow your mind but will satisfy a sushi craving if you work or live in the area.
