We love Tom’s!!! The gyoza is my favorite thing on the menu, but everything we’ve had from there has been a 10/10. We pickup dinner from here at least once a week and recommend it to anyone who asks for a sushi recommendation. Love love love!

I stayed in the building next door and got takeout and it was delicious. I like it because there is a lot of it. If I visit here again, I will definitely order again.

The food here is so fresh, the service can be slow but it's only because they're cooking your stuff to perfection! The ambiance really depends on the weather since it's a small shack but they do have counters to eat on so that's definitely a plus. I still don't know who Tom is.

Tom's is the bomb!! He's such a nice and hardworking dude who makes excellent sushi right around the corner. See you soon!

I LOVE the fact that they kept the wasabi and ginger separate from the sushi since I don’t like those and sometimes forget to ask them to hold that. 1st place I’ve seen do this and it made me so happy. Wish the cold roll was a bit colder, and I’m not sure if my cooked roll has half that may be undercooked, but it’s salmon and sushi so it should be fine. I wish they had included the eel sauce on the roll though cause I didn’t have enough on the side. The seating outside could be so much better but poor design and execution. If they remodeled the outdoor seating area and served alcohol this place could really get big!

Had an eel roll, it was barely edible because there were so many BONES?? If that wasn't bad enough, I had food poisoning afterwards. Only gave 2 stars because my roomates seemed to enjoy theirs.

Wow! I had no idea this place is so good. I ate at bunch of restaurants on Sawtelle Area and this restaurant in a run down strip mall was the best meal I had all week. I loved the spicy hamachi. My son had the chicken teriyaki bowl and spicy salmon roll.:chef’s kiss:Keep in mind there is no place to eat outside.I was staying at found Santa Monica by sonder which is literally across the street so I ate there

I ordered delivery from them using Yelp. The prices on the Yelp delivery option differ from the prices on their menu. For example, the Philadelphia roll is $9.50 on their menu, while I paid $10.99 for it.I ordered the Philly roll, salmon roll, and fried California roll. Yelp charged me with tax, tip, delivery, AND service fees. I ended up paying $41 for only three rolls.Pretty pricey! With that being said, the sushi was delicious. This is why I'm giving them 4 out of 5 even though I paid a ridiculous price for only three rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Next time I'll drive to the restaurant, stay and eat there instead of ordering delivery.

What's not to love? It's well priced. The quality is good. You get it out of a little shack in a strip mall. Get the mixed tempura and the sushi sampler as a minimum.

Toms Sushi House is a wonderful casual restaurant if you're looking for food that isn't super cheap but not super expensive - the perfect middle. I've only ever ordered takeout so cannot comment on the service or ambience. I will say:Rainbow roll (5/5): one of the cheapest rainbow rolls you will find in the area and the fish quality is good. The ratio between fish and rice is great. Dragon Roll (4/5): this roll was good but I wish the unagi slices were a bit thicker. They were on the thin side so didn't get as much of the unagi flavor. Spicy Yellowtail (3/5): I wasn't the biggest fan only because the onions were a little overpowering. But the price is very good for the amount of fish so if u like onions, this may not be bad for you. Spicy Garlic Bowl (4.5/5): very flavorful and large portion! decent breading to chicken ratio though some of the smaller pieces were a little too breaded (if that makes sense)Will def keep ordering!!
