We live in Newport Beach, and each time we visit LA. We enjoy dinner at Toscana. Franco was an excellent server. Food was superb.
The dinner was absolutely delicious starting with the whipped ricotta and truffle honey and prosciutto wrapped grissini bread stick appetizers, grilled polenta with porcini mushrooms and black truffle, handmade tagliolini pasta with veal rags sauce, rack of lamb with rosemary oil and radicchio ending with profiteroles - every dish was a favorite. Love Toscana, the people, service, atmosphere!
The food and service were excellent, but the ambience was not. Brightly lit, noisy and uncarpeted, Toscana has all the charm of a Chinese restaurant
It had been a while since I'd been to Toscana, and I was looking forward to it. I met a colleague for dinner, and when she said she was parking, I warned her that the restaurant was lit like a grocery store. It was such an odd choice. The place was not busy by any means (nor did it get busier), but that didn't affect our getting plopped in the middle of the room in a spot that shouldn't even have tables. And again, what is with that lighting choice? The place is not that cute; it would be served well by any measure of dimming. The server had a bare bones approach that bordered on "forced." I don't think I've ever felt like a nuisance in a restaurant until last night. Honestly, it was all very bizarre. I had the bolognese, which was decent but not one that I'll crave in the future. All-in-all, I think someone over there just stopped caring. I remember this being a great spot years ago, but I suppose everything has an expiration date. --I hope someone comes along and decides to care again, maybe give it a new look and feel and provide some charm school for the folks working there. I was a server for 10 years, and even on my worst day I would still try to make patrons feel like I cared that they had a good experience. --That was my last trip to Toscana.
We chose sea food pasta which was not on the menu. It was fabulous. My fettuccine bolonaisey (?) Was great
The service was unbelievable and the fresh fish was melt in your mouth. We will return time and time again.
One of the most overpriced & noisy restaurant in the Brentwood area. Salty & oily food that certainly not worth it.
Also, manager asked us to leave, right after we finished our dinner, because they had customers waiting to be seated. It certainly was my first experience having a restaurant manager asking us to leave just because they had customers waiting. Very rude and unprofessional 😡

The pasta sauce was rich.
My father and I had a wonderful lunch. The room was a bit noisy at first. We had great service from Mark. The Pasta special was delicious and we finished it off with creamy cappuccino. I love going to Toscana because I can always count on it being a very nice experience with good food, great service and a relaxing ambiance.
Bravo to the entire team!

Meal was an excellent. I have a major gripe about splitting the bill. Like some other restaurants, Toscana has this nasty habit when you split the bill between two credit cards of posting recommended tip percentages based on the PRESPLIT total and not on the split amount. So, if you are not vigilant you could end up with a tip that is a multiple of recommended percentage (last night we split the bill 50/50, so the recommended “percentage dollar amount” was double the actual split cost. Very poor practice IMO.
Been coming here for over 25 years the food is always consistent and all the familiar faces
Valet service: not helpful not friendly-my husband is disabled and had much difficulty getting out of the car onto slanted sidewalk and high curb-valet offered no suggestions to make it easier. The fee was $12 @lunchtime. Our food(seafood special )was excellent, however they only have wine and beer @lunch and were out of the lager I wanted. There was no other lager on menu, in fact very limited beer selection. The servers were friendly and helpful. We won’t return for lunch.

The credit card which was working everywhere did not work there, which was a pathetic end to a wonderful dinner
Very disappointed at the service we received in this restaurant. We were there with another couple as soon as we were done with dinner the manager approached us that he needs our table to set up for a larger party even though they still had empty tables. I had made reservation days in advance. Manager’s approach was very rude and unprofessional.
Worst service we have ever experienced in Los Angeles.
