The best drip coffee I have purchased in years. Just like I make it at home, not at all bitter, smooth and perfect to drink black. The most unique acai bowl I've ever had, tasty, fresh and no unnecessary sweetener. Getting to eat it out of a beautiful hand made ceramic bowl with a real spoon was perfection.

BEST place ever - tons of flavorful, healthy, absolutely delicious options! We tried the classic Acai bowl and Kyoto wrap. Both were beyond excellent. Service was fast and the owners are welcoming, friendly and made you feel like you came home to a loving family. We can’t wait to go back!

What a disappointing experience. I had heard great things about this place and was genuinely excited to try it.

When I arrived, I was the only person in the café. I ordered a vegetarian egg-and-cheese breakfast sandwich—about as straightforward as it gets—and sat in the outdoor area. After waiting roughly 20 minutes, I went back inside to ask whether I should pick up my order or if it would be brought to the table. I was told it would be brought out.

After another 10 minutes, the cashier informed me that my order had been given to someone else. Annoying, but I waited. Another 10–15 minutes passed, so I went back inside again, only to be handed a sandwich with the egg on the side. I’m honestly unsure how an egg-and-cheese breakfast sandwich turned into that.

To make matters worse, during this entire time, 10–15 other customers came in, ordered, and received their food before I ever got mine.

I’ve been going to Tribal Cafe for years and I’ve always loved the food and service. I went yesterday and for the first time ordered the vegan black bean burger and it was delicious. I’m going to say that it is my PERSONAL favorite burger in LA. I think it’s great that they offer beyond meat if people want it as an option but after so many burgers like that, eating a house made black bean tempeh patty like that is absolutely perfect. It’s not a traditional burger but it’s everything I want. Love this spot!

This Filipino Ube Latte was as advertised and more! Strong coffee kick with a subtle natural ube flavor, a must try! Should have went with a large instead of medium.

Tribal Cafe is a hippy cozy joint with a massive menu breakfast, smoothies, coffee drinks, sandwiches, and more. They're located along W. Temple st just north of DTLA.

I arrived late Thursday morning to grab a coffee and breakfast. But changed my mind after seeing the food reviews. I asked for a Cafe Au Lait (Q2) but the old Filipino man cannot understand nor where in the menu it's at. I stated Q2 and it's just below Q1 (Brewed coffee). He misunderstood and thought I asked for a reg brewed coffee, they only carry one 16oz size btw. I was constraint in time, so I begrudgingly agreed. After a quick sip or two of my coffee, I thought it was ghastly! It wasn't brewed perfectly and it's too bloody roasted despite adding milk and sugar into it. For the love of coffee, this is by far the WORST coffee I ever had in my entire life. I banish my coffee to the nearest trash bin. And went for the coffee shop across the street.

Atmosphere was relaxing. Interior layout and design were interesting. Menu list was massive and hard to read bec it was written in small Aerial font sharpie. Street parking only. Prices seem fair. Staff was incompetently professional. Service was ok.

Overall, I had a bad coffee. And reluctant to try their other items on the menu.

Found this little cafe on our way to Hollywood. Honestly I didn't expect much but everything ordered were really good. All the ingredients in our sandwiches were very fresh. They offer various healthy drinks and salad. Would definitely come back to try other menu.
