Truxton's American Bistro is a popular restaurant known for its lively atmosphere and attentive, fast service. The menu features a variety of dishes, including the Crack N Sandwich and Poké bowl, which are highly praised for their delicious flavors. The restaurant attracts customers even outside mealtime, thanks to its beautiful interior and comfortable setting. The staff is friendly and provides great recommendations, making the dining experience enjoyable. While the food is mostly above average, some dishes, like the pig and pineapple, have a bit of a salty and spicy kick. Guests can also indulge in a flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Truxton's American Bistro is a great spot for a boozy brunch or a delightful dinner, although some have noted that it can be pricey. The restaurant has been a favorite for many, but there are concerns about takeout being delivered in unsealed bags. Overall, it remains a busy yet comfortable place to enjoy good American food with attentive service.
Recently, guests have enjoyed a fantastic brunch experience. The bar is first come, first serve and plays sports games on the TVs. The interior is a well-maintained mix of traditional wood and modern metal that gives the place a higher-end feel. Servers and the rest of the staff are extremely attentive, checking in frequently. The cafe latte was good, though served in a cup that made it difficult to drink. Foodwise, the strawberries and cream waffle and Pablo’s breakfast burrito with a side of fresh fruit were delicious with phenomenal presentation. The savory chipotle sauce on the burrito was addicting. The monkey bread is highly recommended. Guests have also enjoyed the turkey club sandwich with tasty, slightly crunchy fries. Drinks are ridiculously delicious and perfectly blended with a generous amount of tequila. The bartender and waiter Benedict were awesome and very attentive. The Mango Margarita is something to look forward to.
