The thick pork bone and fish soup has a deep umami flavor and a slightly smoky taste which is unique. A very good experience.

Sooooo good, perfectly spicy... The pork is tender and delicious. Thanks to my local friends as I would have never found this on my own. I also suggest hitting the Japanese crepe shop for dessert just down the road, it pairs perfectly.

Food was ok, but a the service was horrible. I went with 3 more people and they literally forced us to leave because “they need the table”
Horrible service, people with bad mood and attitude. There is a lot of better options than this.

I recently dined at a renowned noodle house and was thoroughly impressed. The tsukemen (dipping noodles) featured a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The chashu pork was tender and melted in my mouth. However, parking was a bit challenging, and the wait time was longer than expected. Despite these minor inconveniences, the exceptional quality of the food made it worthwhile

$25 for the smallest most pathetic vegan bowl of noodles I’ve ever had. Will never return.

The delicious tsukemen 🍝 is no different from what I had in Osaka! Full marks. You have to find a parking space by yourself.

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles' bustling Sawtelle Japantown, Tsujita’s flagship location is a ramen mecca that draws a devoted following. The space is intimate yet energetic, with a minimalist aesthetic that lets the food take center stage. Wooden tables and warm lighting create an inviting atmosphere, while the hum of slurping noodles and the rhythmic clatter of chopsticks against ceramic bowls underscore the restaurant’s reputation as a serious ramen destination. The air is thick with the intoxicating aroma of slow-simmered pork broth, promising an indulgent experience before the first bite is even taken.

*The main location is temporarily annexed across the street until its main location is renovated. It is very small with no outdoor cafe options for the moment so if you are jonzing for the food it might be more a wait comparitively speaking. Same quality of food however in my estimation.

I had the Silky Ramen Bowl, which is a study in textural finesse and flavor balance. The broth, a meticulously simmered tonkotsu base, earns its "silky" moniker with a rich yet impossibly smooth mouthfeel. Velvety, collagen-laced, and brimming with umami, it coats the palate without overwhelming it. The straight, slightly firm noodles are a perfect match, offering a springy resilience that holds up to the broth’s depth.

Toppings are deliberately restrained but impactful: buttery chashu pork(add on), its edges kissed with a subtle char; finely chopped scallions that lend a fresh, herbal lift; and a soft-boiled ajitama egg(add on), whose molten yolk adds a creamy, golden richness. Every spoonful is indulgence refined—a bowl that doesn’t just comfort but captivates.

My wife seeking an alternative to ramen, the Salmon Rice Bowl offers a wholly different yet equally satisfying experience. A bed of warm, fluffy Japanese rice provides the perfect canvas for delicately flaked salmon, cooked to just the right point of tenderness. The fish is subtly smoky, its natural oils glistening atop the grains, melding with a light soy glaze that enhances its umami depth.

Crisp nori strips and a scattering of sesame seeds add complexity to both flavor and texture, while a touch of pickled ginger offers a bright, acidic counterpoint to the richness of the fish. It’s a deceptively simple dish—humble in presentation but deeply satisfying, showcasing Tsujita’s ability to excel beyond their renowned ramen.

At the Sawtelle location, these two bowls—one indulgent, the other comforting—stand as testaments to Tsujita’s mastery of Japanese flavors, drawing diners back time and time again.
