Really good food, for me at least. They accommodated all my requests, for more spice, salt and mayonnaise. Also really good service. Much better food experience than the KFC

It's not just fast food, it's bad fast food. A burger, fries and chicken strips cost $50, and the lowest tip option was 18%. Eat somewhere else.

Located in the international terminal at LAX, Umami Burger hits the spot. You can order and pay with the kiosk or the employees. The guy behind the counter was so nice & always smiling & makes eye-contact. The burger was so good. I had the truffle burger & tipped, so it was kinda spendy, but not too bad for an airport. The truffle sauce is sooooooo good. I highly recommend!

Worth a bite if you're looking for an classic American burger, Umami offers pretty decent cooking here. Will suggest to ask for their coleslaw instead of french fries.

Charges $20 for what tastes like a basic Burger King burger soaked in 1000 island dressing. Absolute crap.
My wife and I are at LAX today and decided to have burgers and fries at Umami Burger. We both ordered the Umami Classic Burger. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, American Cheese and Classic Sauce (described by the person behind the counter as thousand Island dressing). The burger tasted good, but in no way superior to any other burgers we have eaten.
My wife loved the Truffle Fries, which were fries covered with Truffle cheese sauce. I ordered the sweet potato fries, which were supposed to have been seasoned with New Orleans spice but which had no such flavor.
I also ordered the Cole Slaw, which had Classic Sauce but a very bland flavor. No real hint of vinegar, no celery seed, pepper or any real seasoning flavor.
Service was only a little slow. Umami Burger is in the International Terminal (Terminal B), with a food court- area ambience.
Airport food is known to be on the pricey side, so a $16.99 burger should not surprise.
If you want an okay burger or good Truffle Fries, Umami Burger is as good a destination as anywhere else . I just can't say that it's burger is worth going out of your way for.

The chicken burger is really good! But when i go pick up my order, they forgot my bottle of Fenta and told me to get it myself. So i walked to the fridge and get it myself, omg some did not know that and looked at me as if i was stealing that Fenta. Not a good experience 😕

Insanely priced for what it is. Had better food in from my high school lunch room. Chicken was trash, fries were soggy. Food was $30 for some stuff youd get in the freezer from your local grocery store.

Grabbed a burger here before catching a flight. I had the original Umami burger and some sweet potato fries. Overall it was pretty good but very overpriced. It was comparable in flavor to an In-N-Out burger but 3x the cost. If I wasn’t trapped in an airport I would have gone somewhere else.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Seating was very limited.
