Terrible customer service, I was in line with 3 people and no one acknowledged us for 15minutes... they already served 95% of the people who ordered and they just kept looking through us. I also saw them make food in advance and reuse old fries thats been sitting on the counter that no one ordered. I left after 15 minutes

I'm rarely upset enough to write a review about a bad experience, but here we are. THIS PLACE IS A HUGE SCAM. This is NOT the same as Umami Burger outside the airport. The patties are obviously previously frozen, much thinner, and lack the added fat content. It's probably just a normal mass produced frozen patty. Literally all of the components in the burger with the exception of the bun feel like they came out of a Holiday Inn continental breakfast. I cannot believe that Umami Burger has the nerve to put their name on what is obviously an inferior product that has cheaped out on all the ingredients. The sheer audacity of deceiving your customers like this for the most blatant of cash grabs. Umami burger should be ashamed.

Tasty burger but very expensive. Lady at the counter was pleasant and service was fairly fast. Sweet potato fries was good too.

They sold out. Now they cater to the masses. What a shame. They used to be unique with their original umami burger - now they are like all the other burger joints. So disappointing when good restaurants do this.

Yesterday was our second time trying Umami Burger and we got exactly what we expected! We ordered their truffle fries as well as their truffle burger, which came out to a total of about $27. Our food came out rather quickly and the workers were pretty nice. The truffle burger? Amazing! It's juicy and filled with rich flavors. Unfortunately, the fries didn't deliver the same punch that I was looking for. I'm trying to consider the fact that this is a restaurant in an airport, so to me, a delicious burger really does it for me lol But fries on the other hand? If i'm paying $27 for a meal, I would expect the fries to be a bit more saltier and tastier. I'll probably be coming back another day because the lines are much shorter, food is decent, and service is good, but if you're looking for value and the bang for your buck, you might wanna try elsewhere :')

Deallen, my man! He was so nice and very knowledgeable about the burgers! Such a cool dude. He gave me such good experience! And this is an airport.. haha I appreciate you man! Thank you for being so nice and helpful! We got the truffle burger! It's pretty good, the meat is still juicy just like how I like it :)

I am so HAPPY every time i see a location thats CLOSED. We were there Once and Only Once. I said these places WILL NOT LAST. Mark my word! The rudest service ever. Nasty staff! For that price "NO WE WONT LEAVE OFF THE...,". When in paying that price for a mediocre hamburger, you better give it to me the way i want it or dont count on being in business long!!!

The burger was pretty good but it definitely not worth the 17 dollar price tag just for a burger with no fires. Again the burger was good but it was way overpriced! I would not go here.

My review was quickly removed so im posting again. Umami burger management. I will post it a 1000 times if I have to so please dont bother getting it removed again. So went to this place before taking my flight at LAX. Food is exuberantly expensive. spend 33 dollars for burger fries and bottle soda. So after the food arrives I asked them for a cup for my soda and the Hispanic older guy at the counter says in a very blunt manner "oh we dont give out free cups" and then he said something else But I already started to walk so I couldn't understand what he was saying. So I spent 33 dollars on a B rated food and you cant give me a 5 cent plastic cup???? are you serious. The time of service was Friday Feb 8th. 440 pm so in case you wanna know who this employee was.

I got the patty melt and fries with the jalapeño ranch sauce and it exceeded my expectations for an airport meal.

The last meal of this American business trip was Umami Burger at the LA airport. This is a hamburger chain that has several stores in Japan, including the Aoyama store.Although the price is a little high, you can enjoy the delicious hamburger that the restaurant's name suggests.Of course, I ordered the Truffle Burger, and the melted cheese had a strong truffle scent, and the whole burger was flavored with truffle. The patty isn't just meaty, but it's also seasoned with its own flavor, so instead of adding ketchup or something like that, which is common, you can actually enjoy the hamburger as it is served.Wouldn't it be nice if there was a little more volume considering the price?

So we're off to a rocky start. After getting my ass kicked by the, not very user friendly ordering kiosk, one of the staff members was nice enough to take my order. I appreciated this because I wanted a burger without cheese or sauce. After waiting a bit...not a crazy long time like some others have complained about, benefit of flying the red eye I suppose...I got my burger. I bet you can guess how it was prepared...yup, with both cheese and sauce. I expected this would be the case as the receipt I was given didn't indicate either of these requests. I took the burger back to the counter l, explained the mistake. The nice guy who took my order was beyond frustrated with his cooks. No joke, he must have yelled back to them, "no cheese, no sauce" and it's Spanish cousin, "no queso, no salsa" about 20 times. It seemed like a simple request. I guess not. Anyway, while I waited for the correct burger, I read other yelp reviews and started to get nervous. I should have done that ahead of time, but I was craving a burger and this was the only place that had them. Any port in a storm. The reviews were bad, I was preparing myself for the worst. Much to my surprise, the burger was pretty damn good, with a nice char grilled patty and toasted bun. It was however pretty basic, just lettuce tomato and pickles. The fries were good too. They were hot (which doesn't always seem to be the case) and had a nice seasoning. I will agree with the other yelpers, the place is way overpriced, $30 for a basic burger, fries and a coke was a bit much. since this was business travel, the expense account took the hit.

Don't eat at this restaurant. The burger was horrible. The patty felt like it was previously frozen. It's $18 for just the burger. No fries or drink included. Umami burger has gone down hill. This used to be one of my favorite burgers . Don't do it go to the pizza spot next door you can thank me later.
