It’s clear management and the supervising staff do not know how to manage a busy cafe as your wait time for food will be incredibly slow and you receive no communication from staff. The food will come out at different times, they won’t bring your drinks out first and it clearly seems like they are always unprepared in terms of staff at high peak times. This weekend we waited over an hour for our food and drinks.

Horrible experience ! The online system automatically adds extras and you have to go back and take them off !! Tried explaining that to the people working at the front and was met with attitude and sarcasm. At the end they gave me my order and two of the dishes had hair in it! It sucks that the restaurant itself is pretty but the customer service and ordering system ruins it. Just be ready to pay for ridiculously overpriced meals when coming here.

Was charged a 6 dollar processing fee even though we paid cash, and Imagime they do this with every customer who pays cash? food is overpriced, 21 bucks for 2 slices of bread cut in half? and we ordered chilaquiles and had a seperate charge for a item that used to come with it, worst experience ever

I’ve been coming to Vees for a very long time. I know it gets pretty busy so I wasn’t surprised today on Mother’s Day that it was going to be even more. The staff/employees are nice but my complaint today is in regards to the food and service. Management has to do a better job in training their employees , because they look like they don’t know what they’re doing. Every time they came out of the kitchen. They didn’t know which order belong to whom. They were completely lost! The waiter was going table to table and asking customers if they ordered this, if they ordered that, if this belong to this person. I came with my family, and I ordered two garden burritos with two sides of sweet potato fries, and one kids French toast meal, and one Paris French toast with two orange juices and one vanilla latte iced with a side of almond croissant. I only Received 7/10 of my order. The waiter came to our table 3 TIMES and asked us if we are missing anything and we repeatedly told her we are missing two orange juices and our almond croissant. She kept saying she’ll bring them and never did. When we received our garden burrito it looked so thin. This was not considered a burrito to me, it was more of a taco. Inside our burrito it only had a few onions and mushrooms, eggs, and a few leaves of spinach, when it’s also supposed to have bell peppers and broccoli. Very disappointing considering the price I paid for and received a miserably looking “burrito”. But not only did this ruin my whole experience, but as shown below in the pictures I provided, I order my daughter a kids French toast meal and I specifically asked NOT to add sugar on the French toast and also asked for the eggs to be sunny side up and WELL DONE. They completely ignored my request and my daughter did not eat it. I knew if I asked for them to redo it, it was going to take another 30min to 1 HOUR, so I told my daughter to just eat it and unfortunately she did not like it and almost threw up when she tried the eggs. She hates when her eggs are runny and not well done. She did not touch her plate and was overwhelmed. I asked for a refund and they granted me it but not a lovely experience so definitely DO NOT recommend to come here, just go elsewhere. It’s super expensive and not worth it.

You must order online only.
Food was served separately, so we couldn’t eat at the same time. Breakfast was served Luke warm. Prices are high.

I went and ordered french toast, eggs and bacon. A very quick breakfast to make. I waited 40 minutes and never received my meal. I went to speak with the staff who did not come out to check on me and asked where my food was they said they haven’t made it yet and I noticed that other customers that came after me were already eating. I asked for a refund and was told I would have to wait until tomorrow because the manager wasn’t there! I already paid for my food plus tip. A waste of time and money!

I was in the area and decided to take my mom and brother to this local gem. At least that was my plan.

Since the first time coming to Vees cafe, the food was amazing and great quality. Still is!

Unfortunately it’s very confusing to know what type of service they offer. Is it self serving, is it counter service, or do we just order through the app? Employees working there are more interested in idle chit chat then actually acknowledging the customers.

When we arrived, no one acknowledged us. I went to the young man behind the coffee station and asked him if it would be ok to sit in the patio.

At this moment in time, no one bothered to follow us to the patio area. We waited for about 5 mins and then processed to walk to the front to ask if they had menus. No menus. Servers exact words “ use the app”.

What if you had a costumer without a smart phone!?! How would they order if you don’t have menus available and if your staff is unwilling to help.

Not once did this individual ask if it was our first time, or explained what would be the best way to order.

I used the app, order food, NOT ONCE DID ANYONE CHECK ON US.

by the time the food came out, the server dropped it off and you couldn’t even hear what he was saying. Our food arrived after the other table that came after us.

Honestly, it was disappointing to say the least.

Two servers, only two tables outside (including us) and no one cared to check on us. If we needed extra plates, napkins or boxes, it was clear we had to go looking for someone to help us.

We left and once again. No one acknowledged us.

Services need to improve. ASAP!

It seems like it’s a common complaint and concern for most of your customers

Tried it for the first time. Nothing special . Breakfast staff burrito was good. Coffee was cold. Never got refilled after. Ordering on the phone was a no no. Then paying and adding tip not knowing what to expect from the food or service beforehand. The sitting area was relaxing quiet.

$6 for mediocre cold brew and a nice back patio

Was a nice, quiet space to get decent food on a Sunday when we were staying nearby for a concert. It's located in an office building, but the air-conditioned interior and garden-ambiance exterior were quite comfortable. The food was decent, too. Better than a lot of other things around this area and worth the 6-7 block walk from nearby hotels. Will come again if ever in the area again.

Vegetarian options: Black beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, avo, bread, avo toast... Most of the breakfast menu can probably be made veggie. Probably harder to get vegan/anti-egg tho, at least for breakfast.

Wheelchair accessibility: The space between tables is good and lots of table + chair options that can be swapped for a chair. I really liked how spaced out all the tables were. The door is standard, but you can definitely get to and around and in the place.
