We had a wonderful lunch here. Really enjoyed the food. Service was a little slow but the food and ambience made up for that.

Excellent Italian dinner with friends after visiting the museum. The food was creative, delicious, and generous portions. The service was prompt, accurate, and friendly.
Hate that they add a service charge (not tip...) but always a great place to go before or after a downtown experience
It's a solid option. It will get very busy on theater/concert evenings. Excellent happy hour for the area and opens earlier than neighboring competitors. But the bar tender can get swamped so happy hour bar service can be a bit slow around 5 or 6.

Excellent food and service with plenty of seating. A great stop pre or post theatre or museum.
This was at least our fifth time dining at Vespaio (a great place for a pre or post performance meal). One of our entrees was a bit slow coming out (we were slightly concerned due to curtain time approaching) and before we could say a word, Elizabeth was at our table making apologies, ensuring that the entrée would be right out, and offering options and solutions in her kind, professional, and efficient manner. Elizabeth is an asset to Vespaio and we will return soon, and we will continue to recommend it to our friends. The dining rooms are lively and beautiful, the food is delicious, and the servers and kitchen staff are like lightning!

The 2 outstanding dishes were the scallop salad with arugula and the wild boar pasta. The branzino was only so-so, but it was well cooked. The service was slower than we expected, but faster than it would have been in Italy. The waiter was helpful with suggestions and even though he was busy he gave excellent service.

Surprisingly delicious! Everything from Baby artichoke salad, scampi risotto, eggplant parm perfection—crispy edges on cheese...all beautifully presented, prepared. Heather, our really professional and smart server, made the experience just fantastic! We don't know what to expect particularly and made the choice to go because of the proximity to Disney Hall but now I would actually drive downtown just to go to Vespaio. . It was that good;10 out of 10, very rare for me indeed as I never write reviews. This one was truly deserved!
Will not go back. No vibe. No pleasantries.

Museum go-er who really needed some coffee. The hostess at the restaurant was lovely. She shared about the cafe section of the place (in the back of the restaurant) since that was what we needed. You can get sandwiches, pizza, drinks, dessert, etc. To-Go or sit-in.
Sebastian made an excellent Cortado. Shared a lovely carrot cake.

We chose Vespaio simply because it is so close to Walt Disney Concert Hall. We're happy to have had reservations 2 hours ahead of the concert, as the place was mobbed with like-minded concert goers. We were seated quickly, but tables were very close together. A very detailed menu made it hard to choose between delicious sounding offers, and indeed, the risotto with steak au jus and the pacheri bolognese were excellent. We shared the scallops wrapped in guanciale with mushrooms for the appetizer--a great choice. The noise level was something above moderate, given the packed room (and the Dodgers scoring repeatedly against the Blue Jays). The Sancerre paired beautifully with our entree choices and an ice bucket was a welcome luxury. Overall the prices were reasonable, and we're glad we chose Vespaio.
We are 'regulars' for dinner after the theater and always look as forward to dinner as we do the shows. My husband feels the chef prepares the best rare filet mignon in LA! And feel likewsie about the fish filet dishes. The service is also outstanding - gracious, knowledgable and help to create a relaxed, warm environment. Hats off to the entire staff at Vespaio!
Do not get the rosoto. I've had better, every other dish was fantastic 😋

Ate outside. Very quiet. Waiter was very busy but there were back up people so the restaurant tried to satisfy.
