employee shortage the owner Myra has stepped in to cover and she’s NOT doing a good job
1st she’s Not feeling the cup to the rim even when I say I don’t need room for milk and this is a practice every day I have to remind her every day about my senior discount and today she charged me the price of my coffee plus whatever was on the register $6.84 plus 3.24 then she did Not know how to process a credit on the computer her employee had to be called in to do that even then the credit did not show up in my account immediately. Horrible service I will stop going to her both locations Franklin and Bronson in Hollywood and Hyperion location in GELSON’s. Her employee said it will take two days for the credit to shop in my account. I think she should Not abuse seniors Not good practice!!!

The staff was really nice but the quality of their pastries seem below par. Cookies tasted like old Christmas cookies.

Excellent product quality and the environment also its employees are the best I recommend it ??
I love coming to this bakery and coffee shop in the morning. I really wish they would make savory pastries though and not just sweets. The coffee is top quality.
Every year for the holidays, I stop by Viktor Benes in Silver Lake to get a Yule log cake. They have been good... until this year... What we got is a terribly bad cake and very expensive for what it was! The traditional rolled, light cake was chocolate flavored (it shouldn't be chocolate inside, the icing is chocolate, but not the cake inside). AND it was filled with FUDGE! Gross and sticky, heavy, not even good. Not at all the cake that we used to purchase. And lightyears away from the traditional cake recipe. It was also impossible to cut it neatly as the fudge was sticking to the knife, destroying the cake in the process. We didn't eat it all. Half of it went to the trash (and when you know the price of that log, it's really, really disappointing). Decorations were not only minimal but plastic! No little meringue mushrooms or sugar leaves. No figurines. Just two little fake pine branches. I'll have to find another bakery for next year, or bake it myself. Unless they change back to the quality cake they used to have. Disappointing, really.
The last few bakery goods I have purchased were dry, just not fresh & so sickly sweet. Today I bought a chocolate cookie cake which I ate one bite of. Terrible!
Got a chocolate fudge cake for a birthday. It was horrible. I was surprised and expected it to be amazing. Wayyy too much icing, and not enough cake. Got thrown out. A big bummer after spending $30
Best raisin scones around!!!
I just ordered, with specific requests, a decaf macchiato . I said... one shot of decaf espresso with a dollop of foam. The very rude girl at the counter, who seemed to not understand what I asked for, prepared a tub of coffee with a mountain of foam and the concoction was green. When I asked what she had put in it she said... the powder. What powder? Green tea.I asked her again why she had put a green powder in a decaf macchiato. She shrugged her shoulders, no apologies and very rudely prepared what I wanted.I nicely told her that it is what the customer requests and not what she wants to sell. Ask if not sure. Total silence. Why is it that a macchiato is so difficult to prepare? So simple!!!!! Never again with this girl

Very nice with great service and smile. With fantastic baked goods.
I enjoy going to Vikor Benes Bakery they have the best ice coffe, good pastrys and bake goods. The staff is very nice.
To be honest, I'm not terribly bothered by this, but next time I'd definitely avoid having them write anything. My last name was misspelled although they had a picture to go off of, and it looked like some intern was learning how to do cake writing. Worked out ok for the occasion and I didn't want to cause an issue at pick-up because time was tight and I could barely see the cake when it was tilted my way to look at before packing it up. I got a baileys cake, which I liked a lot but couldn't handle more than a tiny piece of, and my guests didn't like all that much, so overall don't recommend it. It was ready at an agreed upon time. The 8x8 in² cake is suuuper tall though with 3 whole layers, so you should order much smaller for a handful of people (I had 6 total). Overall, meh ?♀️, but airing on the nice side.
It's inside the market it's nice very nice cakes
For many years this bakery has been my favorite one, every time I have ordered cakes my family and friends keep asking for for.
