Atmosphere was amazing. Almost felt like you were in a movie. The place so much charm and style. Food was excellent. We started with several salads which were some of the best I have ever tasted. We all ordered the Salmon and they were cooked to perfection. All 5 of us had nothing but 5 star reviews after our meal from the ambiance to service to presentation to quality and quantity. Violet Bistro will be seeing us again and again.

The Bartenders Charles and Andrew were fabulous. Best margaritas in town! The snap pea salad, curry roasted cauliflower and burgers were so delicious.Everything was wonderful!

The approach Violet Bistro takes to service is lacking. They rush your meal so they can turn your table quickly and will not split your order so if you are looking for a relaxing evening with a well spaced meal this is not the place for you. Additionally they tack on a 20% after tax tip to your meal regardless of party size so there is really no incentive to provide good service. I would skip this one.

Truly one of my favorite places to go with good friends to eat deliciously prepared food. It is warm and wonderfully inviting.

We found Violet's from another yelp review. We arrived just in time to secure a table on their lovely patio. The ambience is great. We had attentive service and the food was well prepared. It is a limited menu for lunch. We found their Nicoise Salad and burger very tasty and fresh. The dinner menu offers a few more options. We will definately be back..

Lovely atmosphere in a small, beautiful brick building with small rooms on multi levels and a courtyard in between. When you sit on the second floor and look over the courtyard and into the brick wall of the other side, it feels like you're in Europe. The service is warm, and the food is delicious. The bright point is what you would expect for West LA.I am looking forward to going back.

The was not the best I've ever had, but okay. The service was more than excellent as well as the ambiance. I'm very particular about what I eat. So most people would have enjoyed it. The service and the seating were perfect. Altogether, it was definitely a lovely evening. I would definitely go back again. Plus, it was very reasonably priced.

Charming ambiance with a cute courtyard. Went for brunch and had excellent service. Came again a few weeks later for dinner and had good service. The salads are incredible (and not to be skipped). I also appreciate the French onion soup with a mushroom base. It tasted even better than any beef based soup. I didn't love the fried artichoke but everything else was excellent. Quiche had a crispy phylo crust. The truffle fries had a great scoop shape. The steak and duck were a hit with the table. This is a hidden gem in Westwood. Street parking but you can easily park in the building right across the street (underground parking) for around ten or twelve dollars.
