I discovered this place 5 or 6 years ago. I've only ordered one thing..Misugaru blended w oat milk and Agar a.k.a. Crystal boba! It's the best drink with a sort of sweet wheat flavor...like cereal milk(It's a Korean staple drink) Wanna Try something New..? Then try this very unique drink that hit every time!! 5 ⭐'s To Volcano Tea House! ..and I swear I'll try something else someday..just not today haha😋🥤

Parking is a pain. But that's just how it is in Sawtelle. If you can score parking in the lot it's in, you're good. Don't park on the street, just way risky with parking enforcement I was about to until I saw the other 2 cars by me with parking tickets. A passing resident told us that the sign is ambiguous but actually means it's by permit only on the weekend.
That said, boba here is good. The clerk was helpful and reminded me about the fact I can select sweetness level. I ordered mine half sweet and it was perfect. Recommend this place for sure.

The best part about this place is that it’s open until midnight, even on weekdays. The boba pearls were incredibly delicious and fresh. It stayed soft for hours, which is a testament to the freshness of its preparation. Despite being crowded at 11 PM, the service was incredibly fast. The staff were friendly and explained the menu without rushing me, even though there was a line. The tea was like a regular boba tea, but whole experience was interesting. Parking was a hassle. With crowd comes difficulties to find parking.

My favorite Tea Shop on Sawtelle, been coming here for ages, this place has stood the test of time. My go to order is the milk tea + boba + pudding.
They started to try to rip off more pennies from people. They no longer ask size of the drink, and just assume that you would order large size, so be careful if you are going to order regular size.

I used to like volcano teahouse until I found out they charge for tapwater. On principal, I will not be going here again. If a customer has bought multiple beverages, there should be no charge for tapwater.

WENT LAST NIGHT TO VOLCANO WITH MY FRIEND WE BOTH GOT BOBAS AND WE ARE EXTREMELY SICK! This was the only thing in common we both consumed. This is ridiculous. We both have every symptom to FOOD POISONING.
