I used the Vons app today for a one hour delivery time frame via the Carlsbad, CA store. After the third-party member picked up the order and did not deliver for almost three hours, I requested a refund for the melted ice cream which I received promptly. I certainly did not expect to see this a couple of hours later: a refund for the entire purchase...thank you Vons for going above and beyond with your customer service!

I just dealt with the surliest employee I ever met making sandwiches in the deli in pacific beach. he should stop drinking before coming to work. This post is the only way I could shake it off.

My local Vons in Long Beach had over a month to prepare for a new law regarding the self check out lanes requiring more staffing to prevent theft. They threw up signs saying these lanes were closed with no other information other than to call the city (a beginner’s PR gaffe). Tonight, I put my stuff back and left the store when I saw 20 people in the two different lines which were open. No fast lane for 10 items or less open. What a massive failure of management, both at the store level and at the corporate level. I guess the Peter principal in which people rise to their level of incompetence is on full display at this company.

A guy working at the deli was very rude. He said he needed to take a lunch break, so I waited for 5 minutes, but he kept working and ignored me.

The most difficult place to shop. It’s truly the worst of the worst. There’s only one cashier, and the line stretches all the way out the door. To get any sort of discount, you have to either buy four of the exact same item or buy four qualifying items in a very specific way. You can’t just mix and match freely — it has to be exactly how they want it. The rules are confusing and restrictive. Honestly, it’s a ridiculous place to buy groceries.

Waited 30 minutes for my ordinary brought out no order you called the store they sent you a voicemail which is not set up terrible. Worst never deal with them again. Do not recommend them under any circumstances. Vons on Western in San Pedro

March 5th, 10:20am Von's Market at Haster/Chapman in Garden Grove has NO full service checkstands open, only self service. This is the second time I've noticed this at this particular store. Are you going completely self service? Time to get your sh*t together guys!!

Get harassed by local gangsters and be told the security is here to observe.. observe you getting harassed or robbed. Not to help the grocery bosses don’t care, and that helps the criminals. You are not safe, is basically what he said. We will watch as you are beaten or robbed and when not if that happens they will provide a report of what they saw from afar. Great. Very useful.

I never felt so uncomfortable in a grocery store before. This very large African-American man was following me throughout the whole store. When I was ready to check out, I asked the cashier if that man was there security she in fact, said yes. And I told her well he made me feel very uncomfortable he followed me throughout the whole store, it’s like to be honest I was scared of the security guard. This is the Vons on deer Springs in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I won’t be shopping there anymore.

Vons4U prices do not always work at checkout. Example: bananas 0.58 per pound did not work - only unweighted 0.25 each (regardless of size/weight) would work at checkout. I bought elsewhere.

DELIVERY ordering is the WORST, the bag charge is ridiculous, I received 4 (2 of which had 1 item in) so really only 3 bags ,yet I was charged for 7 bags. They substitute anything they want( even when NO SUBSTITUTION) is selected and because I always report the issues my account has been tagged and the refuse refund!

I always have problems with buy 10 for $10. I buy the correct items and they never qualify. The cashiers argue saying I bought the wrong items or have used the coupon but I didn't. Good bye Vons.

Third time my delivery order was VERY LATE or in this case not even going to be delivered on the same day and no contact except an email stating my order is running LATE. Placed order at 2:45 pm. Supposed to be delivered between 5 and 7pm. Email from Vons at 6:41pm running behind schedule, we'll let you know when out for delivery. Called the 800 number listed in the email. Rep says he can't find my order. asks for name and phone number. Rep comes back on the line "I can't find it, can I have your email"?. This is after the virtual assistant already verified my order when it answered the phone. After about five minutes he says he found the order and he will contact the store to see what is happening and can I hold. I said sure. Next thing I know the phone is ringing and an employee at the customer service desk of the store the order is supposed to come from answers. I explain to her what is happening. She tells me that "this store does not deliver and did I want to speak to the department that pulls orders for pickup"? WHAT????? She then transfers me to a phone that continuously rings and no one answers. I hung up and started over. Same process, same answers until, somehow I was transferred to the correct department. The person who answered said that she could have it ready for pickup. I told her it was a delivery order and she told me " sorry but you've got several people ahead of you and I'm not sure we will even be able to get your order to you today. It might be tomorrow". WHAT??????? Customer service is severely lacking in this area. Was I supposed to stay awake until my order arrived at ?????? midnight??? Or did I need to take the next day off of work just in case my order showed up? As NOBODY seems to know what is going on at Vons or when I might see my order arrive, I cancelled my order. Common courtesy and decency would have been nice here. A phone call stating there is a problem or that you can't complete the order. The customer should not have to call Vons to find out what is going on, only to be told that NO ONE AT VONS KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON!
