This place is so problematic I’m not sure where to start. Okay, cleanliness is a BIG problem at this place. Front door, tables, floors and what could see of the kitchen/food prep area ALL DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY. I was trying to buy an unhoused person some food and the staff were very disrespectful to the guy and totally indifferent and rude toward me. Finally the food is horrible-mostly rice with veggies and tofu slathered in corn syrup sauce. The quality and portion of the bowel wasn’t at all worth the cost. I should have gone to the greasy Chinese place next door-at least the food would have been tastier and 1/2 the price. First and last time at WaBu. Yuck!

Great offerings for fast food and plenty of healthy vegetables; They even gave me picked carrots &peppers. . This location is superior than the other one down the street on western. I do not advise their sauces since they are loaded with preservatives and HFCS. That’s a corporate issue. I carry siracha sauce in car to avoid the corporate poisoning.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my elderly mother, who has been a loyal customer at Waba on Wilshire and Western, visiting several times a week. However, after her experience on Monday, 5/19/2025, at 11:30 AM, she has decided she will never return. During her visit, she witnessed a man returning his chicken plate because he wanted steak instead. Shockingly, the cook attempted to recycle that same returned food by placing it onto my mother’s order. When she spoke up and requested fresh food instead, the cook became visibly upset, yelling at her and aggressively telling her to not return to buy food there. The cashier, a young man was kind enough to be understanding after witnessing this and admitted that the cook frequently argues with customers. My mother left extremely upset, shaken by the blatant disrespect and complete disregard for food safety. While her previous visits were pleasant, this incident ruined any trust she had in this establishment. She refuses to eat anywhere where her food is handled by someone so rude and unprofessional.

Picked up a bite at Waba Grill today. I was so pleasantly surprised, with the care taken to prepare and the presentation. It was so great and delicious. It was almost too pretty to eat… I quickly moved past that😃 and was deliciously and delightfully yummy satisfied.

It’s a horrific 102 degree Sunday out there. It’s about 230 and my unit was beginning to get so warm I decided to go somewhere with AC. Their AC here is ok. Better than many but not icy either. In any case I got a chicken plate $13.57. They grill the chicken well here. Some places don’t. The place isn’t packed at all so service was fast. About 10 minutes. They play K-pop! You can park for free in the adjacent Ralph’s structure! No time limit lol!
Omg the Plantspired Steak was so Amazing! I've always struggled to find restaurants that are vegetarian friendly. I had to stop eating to keep some for later! I still had the card..lol they don't use it anymore, it has been over 4 years! It was the "Welcome Back!" for me!! I love this place!
Vegetarian options: Plantspired Steak, Grilled Tofu and Veggies! Extra Rice for me please?! ㅇㅇㅇ 맛있어요!

They always hook it up with jalapeños and sauces if you ask.What makes this spot 5 stars are the vatos working behind the counter. They’re nice, they’re happy, and they’re quick!
