I’ve been coming since they opened and today I found out they no longer carry the red sauce that just made the $20 price worth it. The burrito also seems to have gotten smaller (thinner) than the stubby one they used to prepare. The taste hasn’t changed and I still believe it’s the best tasting breakfast burrito.
just make it bigger
Don’t get me wrong, the burrito and the sauce are good. However I cannot justify buying a $20 dollar burrito when it’s as tiny as the size of my hand and as thin as the one I got delivered. It’s disappointing and unfortunate. I can think of other places that have better and bigger burritos for half of the price. I wouldn’t come here again simply due to the overpriced items. It’s just not worth it. You’re not missing out on much. Honestly.

I am ALL FOR paying for good food and service, but this place rubs me the wrong way. The burrito is delicious BUT... $20 for a small portion that leaves you hungry after eating?
The fact that people still come here and give them business, allows them to keep prices ridiculously high and continue to overcharge.
On top of the breakfast burrito, we were also curious to try their bagels... the "rip and dip." Fine, you want a new concept of eating a bagel, but GUESS WHAT?
1. You have to order a minimum of 2 bagels
2. You can't just order a bagel, but MUST pay for the spread/dip
3. A single bagel costs from $3.50-$4
4. The additional spread/dip that you MUST buy with the bagel is also anywhere from $3.50-$4
So... just to try their bagel (which could totally suck b/c bagels are not LA's forte), you have to dish out $16. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and am disgusted with this establishment.
I totally support and want to support local businesses in DTLA b/c I live here and care about the well-being/growth of the community, but this is horrible.
Wake & Get Robbed.

Their breakfast burrito tasted find (the SAUCES are good) but is mega-overpriced for the size. It’s also in a sketchy area. Staff were good. Wouldn’t go again though.
There are better places with better-tasting, cheaper, and larger breakfast burritos with better variety and quality of meat. But they’re not in DTLA (East LA, Atwater Village, etc).

Mixed feelings about this place. When it first opened I sweeeaarr the burrito were much larger but over time they just gotten smaller yet more expensive.
Imo if it doesn’t have beans it’s a warm wrap. I hate that I have to pay extra for beans in my breakfast burrito. Love that they have vegan options but just to small for the price.
However it’s always very delicious and comes with two sauces.
Orange juice is way too pricy as well. It’s fresh but not worth the price
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan options
Dietary restrictions: They have vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free tortillas for extra charge
Parking: Most street parking with meters. Best to have it delivered or for pickup

Came to try both the bacon and steak breakfast burrito. They did not have bacon available which was shocking since it seems like it was their #1 item. For the steak burrito we did get to try, I agree with others that the portion is disappointing. For $20, I could go to Baja Fresh and get a steak burrito for similar taste and much better value (maybe even 2 burritos). Good to try once, but never again.

I had an incredible experience at this wake and late! From the moment I was greeted, Sal and Monsie made me feel welcome with their friendly and attentive service. They were both efficient, kind, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a great meal. The burrito itself was fantastic—perfectly wrapped, packed with fresh ingredients, and bursting with flavor. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making each order just right. Even during a busy rush, Monsie and Sal handled everything smoothly, keeping the line moving while still making every customer feel valued. If you’re looking for a delicious, no-fuss breakfast with top-notch service, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I'm so excited about Wake and Late being open here in Hollywood! My friend couldn't stop raving about the Steak breakfast burrito, which I definitely needed to try.
I'm so glad I did! That breakfast burrito with all the sauces was DELICIOUS. It's a 10/10 from Me and I will definitely recommend to a friend. Genesis and a Maggie were phenomenal and hilarious to interact with. THANK YOU for Everything!

Only 2 starts because they no longer have the vegan breakfast burrito. I’m DEVASTATED! This was the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life and I would drive an hour each way to get it. Please bring it back!!!!! Please I’m begging!
To be honest, I’m frugal. So, when the employee said the breakfast burrito was $18, I almost lost my mind. Then, when I took a bite of the bacon breakfast burrito, I almost lost it again. Truly, this is one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever tasted. And as a former New Yorker, it rivals nearly any breakfast sandwich I’ve had. From the hash browns and bacon to the eggs, everything was perfectly cooked. I’ll be back!

This place has really dropped off. Their portion sizes are so small now. My burrito looks closer to a taquito. Used to order here a bunch but it's just not even close to being worth it any more.
Haleluya, what do you do if today the last day
$20 for a mid burrito. Apparently management will also try to rip you off if you are a prospective employee. Had to call Bruce Lee 4 times to get the money he promised me for a "stage" (I didn't ask to be paid but why offer if you're gonna give the run arounds?) and on the fourth time a week later he finally sent the money and promptly hung up on me. Dude should be demoted. Get your breakfast burritos and bagels else where. This place is ridiculously overpriced and mediocre in every aspect
