Inside the Watts neighborhood center. A celebration of the black experience. The fried chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had. Waffles are ok. They do a lot of take out orders. private parking lot

The food is amazing!! But hours of operation are inconsistent. I've walked in at 12pm and have been denied service despite closing time being 1pm. Unfortunately, this is why black businesses are not often supported. Inconsistency!!

I've showed up the last 3 times only to find this place closed. Food is really good, but slow service and inconsistencies with restaurant hours is why it gets 1 star.

Food is a little pricey and there was a long wait we waited An 1hr and 45min if your willing to wait it ok but if your in a rush it's not for you. But the food is good and the coffee is great

Ghetto ,service definitely horrible , I’m starting to wonder with all other comments if they only treat Latinos that come here like that? I have been waiting past a hour for just one order, definitely ghetto

Very disappointed. On 7/26/22, my friend reminisced on how great the food is, so we stopped to have breakfast. As i walked in my first thought was this whole place needs cleaning. We sat down and my friend immediately started scratching her neck, arms, then thighs. We decided not to eat in but took the meal to go. I went to the restroom and saw a dead cockroach and several dead bugs. First thought .... I can't eat this food, but I paid and took it home. Whatever bit my friend, we had to go to Huntington emergency because she had welts all over arms, legs, and neck. Today, she went to her primary because the itching was unbearable. Never again.

I have never heard of a place that has coffee in the name that NEVER has coffee when I try to order. On postmates they don't even give you the option to order coffee outside of one combo that I never order becsuse I don't eat. I just placed an order and tried calling to see if, by some miracle, they had some coffee and could add it to my order. I called 3x's before they answered and when they did they just held the phone until I hung up and clearly left it off the hook becsuse it's been busy. I haven't ordered from them for over a year and it was the same type of issue last time. I'm reminded why I don't order them.

Hadn’t been here in a while and I took me and my girl out to eat here for breakfast and I love that the same great tasting food never changes. I walk in and walk out always with a smile on my face. Great coffee the grits are always good I love eating the fish since it’s cooked the way I like.

This place is amazing! Let me tell you why:1. Parking- they have a parking lot. Let's face it... we love to have available parking.2. The decor of the inside of the restaurant tells so much history and, as a person of color it bring so much pride. It's like a museum and there's so much to take in.3.The owner is personable and goes the extra mile to make sure the guests are satisfied, full, and leave happy. We sure did!4. THE FOOD! My goodness! Everything was so good! The shrimp and grits were so amazing and I don't really eat grits very often. Everything was full of flavor! I was so excited to eat I forgot to take pictures!I can't wait to go back!

On Saturday, 3/11/22, me and my guy went to the Watts Coffee house to eat breakfast. Spectrum One News advertised their business during Blacj History month, and we wanted to patronize them. We arrive at 8:25am and the business was closed. A lady is inside cleaning up. We wait a a couple of minutes and she comes outside and puts a sign on the front door and tells us it's closed today. She does not greet us with good morning. Remind you the website says the restaurant is open on Sat. at 8am. All she said was the owner decided to close the restaurant today.I am so annoyed with Black businesses opening and closing at their discretion. Needless to say I was very disappointed and will not return.I am giving the restaurant a NO star rating!!!The moral of the story is call Black businesses to make sure their open on any given day before you waste your time and gas to patronize them?????????

Stood in line for like 15 mins, hostess finally shows up, helps the lady in front of me and in a very rude manner almost without looking at us tells us she's the last customer of the day, that happened at 12 while the place closes at 3pm. I don't know if it's because we were the only latinos in the place but defintely got a very weird and rude vibe.
