Great affordable sushi in the hood. Is it fancy? Hell no, it's a tiny little cramped place that probably does 90 percent of its business with takeout. We get takeout from there all the time but my son and I also drop in pretty regularly. The fact that Kombu down in the junction is rated better is obscene. Kombu is disgusting and this place always delivers. You'll see a lot of the whiny reviews are bitching about the interior. Bro, it's a tiny little sushi joint. You people are why Silverlake isn't cool anymore.

This place is a true 3. Sometimes itâs a 5 sometimes itâs a 1. The first few times were amazing and fairly priced then 2-3 times in a row the food was bad. And then it has been a roulette « are you catching What the Fish on a good day »

I will order first time today . Deluxe sashimi 12pcs and salmon sashimi 6pcs , laker roll and miso soup I can pay $ 81.53 +tip so expensive and I was shocked. , I was so disappointed and money earlier. It was so terrible, so insincere, so small that it was very expensive and I won't be ordering again. I won't be spending my money on delivery charges and even tips. Waste of money it was such a terrible order.

We ordered 2 bento boxes. We normally order a la carte sushi from you but thought we would try the bento boxes. The quality was awful. Tiny rolls (there were only 4) that fell apart, very tiny piece of teriyaki salmon, cucumber salad was just slices of plain cucumbers (I added rice vinegar, myself). Food courts offer better bento boxes than this. I miss pre-pandemic What The Fish quality. Youâve now lost a customer. đ„

I got recommended this place from one of my local friends. I was going to help her doing something at her house, so we stopped by to get some delicious take-out order. Even the restaurant has small space, but their fishes are big! My definition of the word big is variety of fishes, creativity, quality, taste and service. We got sashimi, Nue: Tuna, salmon, yellowtail wrapped in cucumber. This menu is very good for my diet because I try to avoid eating too much carb. I got 3 orders of premium sushi, Sea Urchin. Fish is fresh and I love all food I got from this place. Stuff was friendly and welcoming. My friend said this restaurant is one of her most favorite.

I was very happy we stopped by. The service was very good and the fish was very fresh. Great place for sushi, but parking is tough and the restaurant feels a bit crowded (not by patrons). Good prices imo. 4.5 stars.

I have ordered many delicious lunches here and greatly appreciate the clear description of ingredients. My friends and I can easily avoid our various allergens without worry.

Full of middle schoolers.
Wish I had trusted my gut and gone with a different spot. I wanted to give this neighborhood spot a go, but I was disappointed. To echo what others have said: the rice really falls apart and the rolls are rolled way to large for a bite to fit in your mouth. Flavor wise, really just kind of mediocre. Itâs got an Infatuation write up so I decided to risk it. I probably wonât again. $100 night of take out and I just donât feel like itâs settling well or tasted super great. We ordered rolls/nigiri and a bento.

So crazy good â BUT â itâs twice as expensive as any other walk-in sushi place.

Priced higher than Sugar Fish, and quality is about grocery store level. Went in and ordered edamame, rainbow roll, and albacore role: that was 37$ (13 piece of sushi total) + tip ended up paying 42$. Service was terrible, asked for a side of sauce and they said it would be 1.50$ extra per sauce. I absolutely do not recommend this spot.

the food has been good but last time they forgot the ginger, when i paid extra, and the guy said that each container already had gingerâwhich was not true! we even tipped well; i know itâs not terrible but when ur hungry and love sushi with extra ginger, itâs sad ??
