I love malatang and didn't expect to find such a good place in Koreatown. Both hot pot and dry pot are priced by weight and they cost the same. It came to around $20-25 a bowl putting in everything I wanted (and one bowl last me 2 meals).
I really like the flavor of the finished bowl. I went for the lowest possible spicy level and it's doable. The good thing was that it didn't reduce other flavor, just the spice. The dry pot was much more spicy than the soup one and I had to wash it in soup before eating. But overall, this was a very delicious malatang.
They also have skewers. The squid tentacle was very good. I didn't really like squid texture but I finished the tentacle because it's really good. The korean dumplings were very good too. They also have wangzai milk (chinese sweet milk). The menu is mostly Chinese food in the mids of KTown.
Free parking at lunch time (not sure about dinner but probably charged). It's a cozy place for lunch and a hidden gem to me!
Way too expensive. Two of us shared one dry pot and one sweet and sour pork, and we ended up paying freaking $80 including tip. Tissues are kept on the staff’s desk, so you have to ask every time you need one. Even water isn’t free, you have to pay for it. Everything is overpriced, and honestly, I didn’t find anything special about the food. The sweet and sour pork was especially disappointing. It had a weird smell, like the pork wasn’t fresh. They barely put sauce on it, so I could hardly taste the ‘sweet and sour’ at all
my go to hotpot place
No matter where you go, there aren't many places as delicious as this restaurant. I visit here 3-4 times a week when I have time. They also remember their customers well. They keep the items that customers leave behind and return them when they come back. I highly recommend them.

One of my favorite spicy hotpot restaurants in Hancheng! The buffet bar is clean and tidy and looks particularly hygienic. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is delicious! Even though it’s a bit expensive, it’s still worth it. I highly recommend this spicy hotpot.

Didn’t like how I was treated as a black woman walking into this establishment. I was completely disregarded. And When trying to accept the order that was purchased, he put it down on the table for me to take instead of handing it to me.

This is the malatang place to go to if you’re craving the ones from Korea. The toppings/ingredients are exactly everything you’re looking for, and it’s all cooked deliciously in the broth. They have the fried pork (꿔바로우) which is DELICIOUS, along with a lot of other delicious sides as well! None of the guys were on board with us getting malatang in the beginning but we all left super satisfied and minds changed!

One my go to for mala soup.I think I tried most of mala place in Ktown, and I think this place has best ingredients with good flavor. However I feel like their price increase recently is downfallWith this much price, Id rather go other place. Also didnt know they had minimum weight.Plus I feel like they cook longer than before or cook changed or something. Noodles were all over cooked.Small things made me put less starsTheir service is very nice though. Kind and fast.Clean too.The ingredient bar is kept clean also which is a must.Im still coming back, I always thought this place was 5 star.Hopefully next time I come back I can bring this back up

It was delicious in the past, but the quality of food packaging these days is not very good... If you add noodles, they are rolled up without even unwrapping them, so you have to unwrap them one by one... They didn't put fish in it, but there were thorns... The spiciness was different every time I ordered it. . The Kkuvaroo here is so sour that if I take a bite, I just cough... I used to eat it often, but I was betrayed.

The most delicious Mala restaurant in Koreatown!Every time I order, I always get a delicious meal without fail. It's delicious so I eat it most often. It tastes even better if you eat it right in the store!I like the Mala ingredients because they are varied and fresh.I've been to all the other new Mala restaurants, but Wokba is the best.

$20.99 by pound. A single meal for one person is over $30 with taxes. Total rip off for the amount of food and quality. Parking is also terrible. This business won't last. Nothing worse than not getting what you paid for especially when overpriced.
