.I was in Los Angeles went to Woody on Florence ordered 2 dinners cost 43.00 they sealed the food up and I got home all the meat was burnt and outer part of meat was tough to chew. Called Michelle the next day since they was closed and she argued with me regarding a replacement meal.

So i purchased alacart menu all meats links chicken and pork ribs and everything tasted overwhelmingly like lighter fluid and i still have all the food except the meat i had put on my plate the taste pf lighter fluid was so strong we were unable to consume it

This new Woody's is awesome 👍. Not only do they take cards now. But the food and the service is fantastic. They have a backline of people who have everything covered.
I placed an order the day before July 4th,2025 from the Florence location. I spent $75 on food to get home and see there were burnt pieces of meat that was turned over because I did look at the food before I left. I live near Torrance, so why go through all of that and drive that distance if food was good? I tried calling but no answer so I returned food about 5 hrs later when I noticed other side. They were very rude the entire time. The short lady with glasses named Pauline from the receipt and the light skinned guy name start with a “C” that was passing out the food. They went back and forth telling me it wasn’t burnt just chard. The guy was holding food over the trash dropping pieces with his fingers without gloves and taking it to the workers that were cooking and preparing the food while they all picked through looking at me while rolling their eyes just as well. A customer asked for the food and they repackaged and sold to him which I couldn’t believe. How disgusting? At that moment, I was so glad I was returning my food because it could have been from someone else’s order as well. Not taking any chances at this point. The taste was old and gave a nasty after taste because it was burnt in my opinion. Customers asked me what was wrong and the cashier was still butting in the conversation to say it wasn’t burnt while rolling her eyes.If the food was good why would they be dropping pieces in the trash? Very deplorable disposition from all of the workers. The worker outside holding closed sign was acting rude trying patronize me on my way out as well. So, your food maybe from a unsatisfied customer home/ car etc for 5 hrs being picked then picked through from the staff without gloves over a trash and sold to you. I will be reporting further not just to the owner because he indeed knows who he hired The entire staff was rude and very unprofessional. I been going to Hillcrest/ Inglewood location for years and never received burnt or even chard food but line was just too long. Believe me the pictures did wonders. 🤮Beware of this place.

So I visit the Woodys on Florence Bl quite often and usually everything if fine. This time I was given a a piece of chicken (thigh) that was literally cut into half. When I complained the man was in the back (manager) became upset and said “Ohh he just cut to it to fat but it’s on the leg” which was not true because I had checked the leg already which is why I went back into the restaurant. I try to support my black owned business but they truly do make it hard. In my experience the professional thing to do would have been to just offer me another piece of chicken and have a satisfied customer rather than being hateful and loosing a customer and having me to result in writing this review. I did get my money back and went to another establishment. Not good business etiquettes Woodys not at all.

They gave me half of a rib instead of whole ribs with my dinner .very disappointed. Been going to the one on slauson for years so I know what the ribs are supposed to look like and that is not it. I will not be back to this location.
