Went with my program, and we had a room with 3 lanes. The shoes are clean, though I will say they have very little cushion--wear comfy socks! Don't recommend sizing up. Your own size should be fine :) The food is decent and it was not alarmingly busy from 3-5pm. A lot of the arcade games were not working(with some not being stated as such), and a lot of our credits got eaten, but we were able to ask to get them back, so it was not completely terrible. Will go again though! Maybe it was just this time :)

okayish experience placed in an okaylish neglected mall near the center of little Tokyo, by nature of this being an entertainment location in a surprisingly low foot traffic mall. XLanes only tries enough to be a somewhat pleasant experience, as noted by other reviews, the place is extremely neglected in terms of polish, presentation and usability. It spares a small collection of arcade cabinets that only half seem to work, being one of the few places to have a Pump it up machine, only for the screen to have an upper dim light problem that still has not been fixed after 2 years since I stopped coming here for that reason.
XLanes is a subpar bowling experience that would satisfy anyone already stopping by in the area but would not recommend going to this place to bowl on its own instead of any other location.
Cool place for photos besides that SAVE YOUR MONEY! The bowling lanes and bowling balls are severely neglected with dents. Payed $85 for an hour of bowling and renting shoes. Staff was friendly but not helpful. We had high hopes but sadly won’t be coming back again.
