I eat sushi multiple times a week living in Chicago. This sushi chef is amazing! His unagi was so unique and delicious . He also made great recommendations. Everything was sooooooo sooooo good! I will definitely go again next time in town!

There's lots of reviews of the food and ambience so check them out. My experience is more personal since my friend is actually buddies with Yamasan Sensei. He's got technics and secret suppliers close to his chest and is honest about his creations, whether they are tried and true dishes or experiments he wanted to bring from the lab.We all shared some amazing Sake together as well.Understand, this is going to be expensive. Chef Yama-San is incredibly talented. He’s so warm and friendly unlike many other sushi chefs. His kaiseki is one of the best I’ve had in Los Angeles. My husband and I discovered Yamakase in 2020 and have been going back regularly ever since. An absolute staple when it comes to top kaiseki meals in LA!
