Yen Sushi & Sake Bar

It took me a year to write this review but I remember this place well. My friend and I came down from the observatory and were starving. This place was so nice and accommodating, I even ordered so much miso that they brought it to me in a big bowl.

Such a hidden gem.

Unassuming restaurant in a shopping center with amazing sushi! Lots of veggie options. Easy parking. Everything we ordered was very good!

It may reside in a not so glamorous location but don't let that fool you. Yen is a great neighborhood staple and continues to be. Staff is incredibly kind, food is a strong 4/5 and their lunch specials are a bargain!

My partner and I come here ALL the time and they have the best sushi in town with truly unbeatable prices. The staff is lovely and I always look forward to dinner at Yen!

Love this little Sushi place I recommend the Deluxe Sushi plate 18sushi and 3 rolls for 2 $44 a bargain 2 large house hot sake and 2 beers later for less than 100. you won't be disappointed.

Small but cozy and clean eatery with great food choices. Ample parking as this gem of a place shares the same parking lot with Albertsons on Hillhurst Ave in Los Feliz..

Absolutely loved this sushi spot! The ambiance is wonderful, creating a perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. And the food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for any sushi lover!

Popped in for lunch to-go and got one of the lunch special combos. I chose shrimp tempura roll (huge California roll w shrimp tempura in it) and it came w four pieces of sushi, two pieces of vegetable tempura and miso soup. It was a lot of food and a good deal! Interested to try their many other rolls. Rather small establishment right next to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and shares parking lot w Albertsons. I didn’t even notice it was there the first few times I went to Albertsons but glad I know now! Dependable sushi place in the neighborhood!

Great local sushi spot. The decor is less attractive than Sushi Ai a few blocks away but I think the food (and prices) are better!

The service was great, atmosphere was nice. Had an early dinner 5pm so it was not too crowded. Ordered the Albacore roll (forgot the name), and Tuna roll (also forgot the name). The rolls were just ok. Nothing special nor did the flavors stand out. I was a bit disappointed that the Maguro Tuna was seared. I know Albacore is generally seared, however was not expecting it with Maguro. Not sure I would go back for there for sushi. P

I've dined in many times and had take out at least once a month for years. It's affordable and good. It's also a small space and they do a lot of take out/delivery on top of dealing with the tables. It's a gem, but not a hidden gem-- folks clearly know it's great and keep the place busy during peak hours.
