Flavorless. The food would look pretty on the plate, and taste like air. Sorry.

Walking into this place is like walking into a garden nursery, a welcome relief from the noisy concrete jungle outside.
You order inside and get a number, then pick up your order when your number is announced. Drinks are announced as they are ready. Then you go back for the food.
The Special Fish Plate was a Bento of salad, BBQed catfish on a bed of rice, 4 spicy salmon rolls, a shot of curry soup with a hint of ginger and a small serve of dessert that I didn't enjoy. It was a healthy way of trying a bit of everything and the serve was generous. The dish was OK but not memorable. The Mint Lemonade was really refreshing, with the mint blended in - this was the true highlight.
There are signs asking you to bus your own table, so there was really no service but they still expect to be tipped! 😤 I was quite enamoured with the setting until I saw this - most unimpressed, especially as an international that just returned from Europe. They may as well implement QR code ordering which would be more efficient.

Met someone for drinks and sushi here, and it was the perfect ambiance. I loved the energy and plants!! Great for book lovers as well! It was such a cute little nook, with lots of outdoor seating!

Good price for the portion you get! I love the variety of items you get in one order for the special plates. The catfish was good and had a tasty sauce. 👍
👎 Not a huge fan of the rice they use and the dessert sampler was really disappointing. My friend said the curry was a little bland and the extra egg she ordered for her dish was kind of cold, like it came out of the fridge. The cookies had the taste and texture of Play-Doh.

This place has a super cute vibe and the portions are huge (if you’re just looking for some bang for your buck) but unfortunately the food itself left a lot to be desired! My chicken was super duper dry and my boyfriend got just 4 thin pieces of salmon with his bowl…

The only thing to be impressed about is the atmosphere. One or the coziest places I’ve been to, BUT! We didn’t enjoy any of 4 ordered plates: sashimi salad, beef udon and 2 rolls. Udon is not made with real beef but just with ground beef which is obviously added at the end of cooking and doesn’t have any flavor. Rice in both rolls was sticky like a glue and salmon didn’t have that nice fresh flavor at all. The sashimi salad only looked huge because of the huge bowl which they fill with mix greens without any dressing at 80% of volume and only 20% with rest of ingredients. I was hoping to bring here my guests when they are in LA but guys, the kitchen is so cheap. Oh, and you have to clean the table yourself 😖 We didn’t finish our food and didn’t take leftovers home as we usually do. Unfortunately, it was unexpectedly disappointing experience

Wow what a beautiful cozy little garden in the heart of LA. This place is popular, it was fully packed every table taken around noon on a Monday. I was quite impressed with the ambiance. I had a spicy salmon Rice bowl, it was quite tasty. The only downside was there wasn't much salmon, rather a lot of rice. I understand for the price it's still a decent value and filling portion. Would be nice to offer an extra serving of salmon as an option. I also asked if I could have both tuna and salmon mixed which was not an option. Still a wonderful place to enjoy a meal outside on the patio garden in the shade!

Yuko is like a secret oasis tucked around the corner away from all the bustle of the city. It's just pleasant there, with all the plants and the chill music and people. Counter service: also chill. Some inside seating where there's a good chance My Neighbor Totoro will be playing on the TV, and some outside in what feels like a little private garden. They have a bunch of vegan options, most of them healthyish, kind of like old-fashioned hippie vegetarian food only tastier. I usually go for the tofu rice bowl, but the vegetable plate is the whole experience in one dish, with the addition of the little soup and cookie bites for dessert. I think of their bitter-sweet green tea strawberry cookie often.
Good come and friendly service. It’s a self service restaurant. Cat fish was a bit fishy. I wish it was cod fish. The sauce tasted like eel sauce. Indoor seating did not look so appealing, so we decided to take outdoor seating. It’s not really a Japanese restaurant but a fusion.
