The hot Korean rice cake is ok by my taste. It's not the greatest. In fact, I make a better one at home. I don't like the melted cheese on top & the sauce taste is average. The prices are kinda high & it's really for young folks that wants try it out for the first time. Unfortunately It won't be a regular hang out for me.

My go to spot when I'm craving tteokbokki. Portions are big and I really enjoy the sweet and spicy yup dduk sauce. I like that the rice cakes stay soft and chewy even when there are leftovers. The food is so filling and satisfying !

. Just order the tteokbokki here. The chicken stew and chicken feet are really not good.
I ordered the chicken stew because it reminded me of what I used to eat in Korea, but as expected, it didn’t taste anything like it. Maybe it’s because the ingredients are different—the flavor was off, and even though I ordered it mild, it wasn’t spicy at all.
I froze half of the chicken stew, but I ended up just throwing it away. The chicken feet were so tough that they were inedible, so I threw them all out too. It completely ruined my Friday evening.
I wanted to ask for a refund, but I figured they wouldn’t give me one just because it didn’t taste good, so I held back.
떡볶이는 한국엽떡까진 아니어도 비슷한편, 하지만 닭볶음탕, 닭발은...진짜 솔직히 왜파는지 모르겠음 닭발 특히 비리고 양념맛없고 질기고 거뭇거뭇함

I visited a restaurant last night with some friends and ordered a tteokbokki set and soondae. Unfortunately, the tteokbokki was overcooked and soggy, and the soondae wasn’t even cut properly—we had to cut it ourselves with scissors. It was also a bit tough, so we ended up leaving most of it.
The real problem, though, was the service. While we were still eating—about an hour into our meal—a staff member suddenly brought us the check and asked if we’d be paying by card or cash. We told him that we were still in the middle of our meal, and the staff apologized and walked away. Still, it felt like they were trying to kick us out
A little later, another staff came over to ask if we needed anything else. At that point, we were so uncomfortable that we just asked for the check and decided to leave.
I had been looking forward to spending a fun evening with my friends, enjoying good food and catching up, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It really ruined what should’ve been a special night.
Best tteokbokki in LA, the texture and flavor is 🧑🏼🍳💋. I get mine with cellophane noodles to “stretch” the amount you get
Been Coming Here For Years Now. Service And Staffing Are Always Friendly. The Food Is Always So Goood!
Yeah, I was so excited to try this place. I’d been hearing about it for months, when we finally arrived, we parked paid for valet walked inside. We were sat super casual. Nothing out of the ordinary then all of a sudden, the people next to us got up and moved to the next table. for context I am a brown woman and both my partner and I are larger individuals so we’re kind of used to people acting shitty towards us because we’re fat. whatever that’s just society I guess, but then another couple came in and they were forced to sit next to us and the entire time have their body shifted away from us with their backs to us at this point we had received our starters we had received our beverages. We obviously placed our order and there was no issue whatsoever. Until finally one of the servers walked over to us and told us that we had two options. Either we get our order refunded or taken to go because and I quote “ you guys smell really bad, you reek of weed. Maybe next time air it out before you come in.” I was in shock. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to cry. I’ve never been discriminated against like that.. after I politely told the server that this was really disrespectful and that marijuana smoke is super common especially in LA of all places. I love Korean food if I’m ever coming into a restaurant you best believe I’m gonna smoke before. If I’m ever going out to a restaurant I’m always smoking before it’s a ritual. No one has EVER turned us away. It was really disheartening to be kicked out, while people are literally shifting their bodies to us and talking about us in a different language. Terrible service. I spoke to that guy at least twice before the incident happened and nobody mentioned anything. It wasn’t until the two women walked in and spoke to him, spoke amongst each other, and then sat down physically shifted their bodies away from us while they were sitting looking scared and uncomfortable. What a shame.
I get it everyone is going to say that the MJ smoke was a bad move. I get that but why not just tell me from the get go? Why wait till we are sat, appetizers hit the table drinks being drunk. Like what the heck?
Super good food

It's better than Korean rice cake~
La Best !
The service here was absolutely outstanding. Since the restaurant doesn’t have many tables, we had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was worth it. Once seated, our waiter kindly offered to refrigerate our friend’s birthday cake (like I mentioned, GREAT SERVICE!). After placing our order, the food arrived in just 10 minutes, and wow—the portion sizes were massive! The dishes were incredibly authentic and offered fantastic value for the price. As we were leaving, the waiter thoughtfully returned the cake we had almost forgotten. This place is a must-visit for both its incredible food and top-notch service!
This is the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever visited! 🇰🇷🍲 The food is genuinely spicy 🌶️, just as they promise. I tried the original spice, and it was perfectly spicy while maintaining a wonderful balance of flavors. 😋✨
I ordered their Yup O with extra fish cakes 🐟 instead of rice cakes, along with fried dumplings 🥟, cellophane noodles 🍜, and onion rings 🧅. Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge 🍽️—I had leftovers, and when I reheated them the next day, they tasted even better! 🔥👌
I truly miss their food 🥹. If I lived nearby, I’d visit all the time to explore more of their menu. For anyone who loves authentic Korean food, I highly recommend this place! 🌟❤️
I just went to get an order! It's my first time eating Korean food, I love it. I ordered under Rik's name but my name is Claudia. ?

If you love spicy this is definitely the place to go. Huge portion sizes with extreme spice levels. Be very weary as their extra mild is still significantly spicier than hot Cheetos. One bowl can fill 2-4 people

Extra Mild Yup O
Grade: A-
Even at extra mild this is not too far from my upper limits of spice tolerance. This place might have the most well cooked tteok (rice cake) I've had. Super bouncy and chewy without being sticky or overly chewy. My only "complaint" is I wish there was a bit more cheese on top
