I’m reviewing an experience by my 80 year old mother in law. She’s been a loyal customer here for many years. She’s had them caterer food for parties and lives just around the block so was a frequent customer. A few weeks ago she entered the store at lunch time, only customer in the place at the particular time. She had been out shopping so wanted to use the restroom and wash her hands. The lady behind the counter followed her to the bathroom and accosted her. She told her that the bathroom was only for customers. My MiL explained she was a customer and would be right up to order. The lady kept pressuring her to leave. My MiL continued into the restroom and came right out as promised and made her way out to the counter. This rude employee, told her to get out. She wouldn’t serve her. She tried to question why and the lady just kept railing at her. So she left hungry and embarrassed that she got kicked out of her favorite neighborhood eatery. We’ve written both to the owner and corporate but with no response. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere.

I’ve been to Baja fresh locations around the bay area several times. It is definitely more of a fresh take on Mexican fast food and it’s usually pretty consistent in quality. Sometimes the service is just ok which works.

The guy at the register is weird. For some reasons, he wasn’t ready to give the bag of chips. Later, he wouldn’t even give a spoon even after being asked multiple times. Not sure if he had a bad day or had some attitude and racist or what.

Salsa Bar and Outdoor sitting under redwoods are the two best things here. Service was okay, Chicken tostada was good. Nachos were good too. Veggie quesadilla was a bit oily and extra soggy.

Vegetarian options: Grilled veggies and fresh salad.
The food was just very bad. The veggie bowl was screaming onions and could have used more rice for sure. The portion size was really small considering the cost.The stuffed queso quesadillas was oozing fats and was almost bitter because of that. I would certainly not go back to any Baja Fresh restaurants.Minor issue, but I don’t get why they are still using disposable plates and silverware.

The food is pretty good maybe a little bit lacking in flavor but luckily there’s a great salsa bar with plenty of good salsa. The chips taste like they were cooked in old oil. My favorite part is the nice quiet patio to eat on.

Ordered pick up yesterday from here. We got the Baja bowl with carne asada and the Nashville chicken burrito. The salsa were delicious but the actual food itself was very disappointing. No flavor and the peppers were overcooked. Was expecting more but was disappointed.
