The Diner of Los Gatos

This place used to be great. The food was good but the waitress was confused and charged us for more food than we ordered. She spoke to her boss and they charged some bizarre food substitution fee when they didn’t say anything at the time of order and this was not written on the menu. Before that when we wanted out check the waitress was sitting in the back of the place not paying attention. Look at your bill carefully if you go there so you don’t get scammed.

A classic old school diner with excellent food and service. They even have the old time wall juke boxes. A wonderful experience.

This classic American style diner is a staple in the Los Gatos community! Retro-style decor with ALL of the True Diner classics! You can't miss here whether it's the chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, or even the liver and onions! The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun, and the pricing is affordable! Parking is a little scarce, but don't let that stop you from popping in for an omelet on the patio on a Sunday or a blue plate special of your choice! They also serve alcohol, so grab one of their jumbo mimosas to go with it!

The old diner setup is really appealing, yet the food is bland and unsatisfying. The potato salad tasted gritty. The Teriyaki chicken was most unsatisfying. The chicken breast reminded me of a Costco precooked chicken breast just reheated. The vegetables tasted old. The staff was only around to take your order and drop off your check. Not great service.

This is a cute diner just outside of the main downtown area. Enjoyed the meal. Caught them on a day when they were short a cook, but still enjoyed our meal.

I recently dined at The Dinner of Los Gatos and had a mixed experience. The menu offered classic options like the Big Hotdog, Benedict Eggs, and a Garlic Mushroom Burger, each of which had room for improvement. The hotdog was overly salty, and the Benedict Eggs were unfortunately overcooked, leaving us wishing for a creamier texture. As for the Garlic Mushroom Burger, it was lacking the garlic flavor that was promised, which was disappointing for anyone hoping for a robust taste.

On the bright side, the atmosphere was fantastic, with nostalgic decor featuring Elvis and Marilyn Monroe everywhere, creating a fun, vintage vibe. Overall, I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5 – enjoyable for a quick bite if you’re in the area but not quite hitting the mark. The ambiance definitely elevates the experience, though!

Greeted by Jessica with a friendly welcoming smile. Small restaurant, but very clean and filled with nostalgic items with good tunes. Served quickly by Jessica. She was very attentive with coffee refills, etc. The food was delicious and fairly priced. Perfectly cooked blue cheese burger and crispy fries were very good. The breakfast waffle, egg dish was also delicious as a five o'clock dinner. All items on menu served all day. Parking was fine for the size of this small great Los Gatos Diner! Going back soon for the Monte Cristo sandwich and fried chicken and waffles!

That the French dip was awesome

First restaurant when I arrived here, it was very good, there is a wide choice of dishes.
The waitress was very friendly, smiling and kind.

This is a solid diner for those who like a good diner experience. The food is good and the service is good. All the waitresses call you hun and that to me is a sign of a good diner.

Fantastic burgers and milkshakes! We will definitely be back. As locals, we plan to include The Diner in our regular restaurant visits. The service was also excellent.
