I just found my brunch place. All was amazing, if I could post 10 stars I’d do it. Great service too! Loved Benedictine eggs

The ambience of this place is really great! The staff is friendly and food was on point. The outdoor patio is dog friendly.

Beautiful ambiance, terrible food which makes the experience regrettable. Tired waiter who had absolutely zero people skills. No crab cakes for the crab cake benedict, no ham on the benedict, radishes and onions on the chilaquiles instead of salsa, no beans, soggy chips. Total disappointment. Expensive check and those handheld machines to check out with tips set at a minimum of 20% even though the service was awful. Never thought I would be hoping for a restaurant to change ownership as bad as this one.
Best place in town for coffee or matcha! Hands down. They use ceremonial grade matcha and you can tell. The place is beautiful and the ambience is incredible. Customer service is always top-notch. The food can be hit or miss, sometimes is a bit bland, but the presentation is beautiful.

Here’s a polished, clear, and still honest version:
Review:
It’s a beautiful restaurant with aesthetic décor and stunning presentation, but unfortunately the food just doesn’t taste good. We’ve tried several different dishes, hoping it would get better, but it never did. I really wanted to like this place, but I won’t be coming back.
My latest order was the deviled eggs — they looked gorgeous, but the taste was honestly unpleasant.
Other dishes we had - gardenia salad, gardenia breakfast, chicken and waffles , egg Benedict. Nothing was delicious. Very unfortunate. We paid almost $200 for the party of 4. without alcohol or deserts. We did not enjoy our food at all.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Los Gatos, especially during the day.
I went for brunch on a weekday. Unfortunately the food was bad. Nothing on my plate was freshly made. Reheated potatoes, reheated bacon and even the poached eggs were reheated. The eggs were especially bad because they were cold and rubbery.
I won’t come back, which is a pity, because the place is so nice.

Great atmosphere outside in chill Los gatos out on the lawn with the water fountain. These super nice vibes are lowkey ruined by the reggaeton party music going in the background the entire time. It’s 10am on Saturday play some chill ambient music I’m not tryna shake my ass over an Earl Grey. Also the brunch menu could use a few smaller fair items like some small pastry options or something

This restaurant was amazing! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, and the atmosphere was beautiful. My girlfriends and I went for brunch and had such a lovely time. The space is bright and stylish — perfect for great food, great company, and a few cute photos. Highly recommend for a weekend brunch spot!

While exploring Northern California, I stumbled upon a truly enchanting spot: Gardenia in Los Gatos. Even without dining, I was completely captivated. The ambiance is pure romance — think twinkling lights, lush greenery, and elegant touches that make every corner feel like a scene from a movie.
The photos and videos I captured barely do it justice… just wow. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you want to plan a special evening.
Though I didn’t get the chance to try the food (this time!), I was thrilled to learn they offer a full menu and a Sunday brunch. Whether it’s a cozy date night, a girls’ night out, or a celebration of something big (or small), Gardenia feels like the perfect backdrop.
I’ll absolutely be back — and next time, I’m staying for the meal.

We recently had a very nice dinner at Gardenia Los Gatos. As an appetizer, we had the charcuterie board on the Happy Hour menu. It was much more substantial than we expected—two types of cheeses, a very nice aged goat cheese and a sage cheddar, neither of which we had ever had before. Both were very good. The board also had two types of thinly sliced salamis and some prosciutto, plus grapes, raspberries, and strawberries, with a berry compote and a truffle-infused honey as condiments, along with some wafer crackers. If we had ordered a couple of other appetizers, we would have had enough for a full meal. Instead, we ate half of the charcuterie items (we eventually took home the rest) and then we each ordered the scallops risotto, which appears to be one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. It had four sea scallops on a bed of some type of exotic mushrooms, all on top of a beautifully cooked risotto, accompanied by some braised Brussels sprouts, maybe with a hint of balsamic vinegar. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Given the hearty appetizer, we both had leftovers of the main dishes to take home. For dessert, we shared a dark chocolate mousse, which was dome-shaped, with some sort of internal brûlée filling, housed under a cap of dark chocolate. We shared one mousse, but in retrospect, I would happily eat a whole one myself next time. The waiter was attentive, and to his credit, not excessively so. As a nice touch, the restaurant owner visited our table partway through dinner to ask how our meal was. We’ve more often experienced that sort of personal attention in restaurants in France and Switzerland, but not so often in the US. The restaurant was a new find for us. I think they’ve only been open since 2023. We will definitely return. P.S., we found free street parking about one block from the restaurant, which was an added bonus. Most importantly, we could carry on a quiet conversation at our table without excessive background noise. That’s a rarity in this day and age!

The prices are a little high here. The atmosphere is nice. The building is historic. There’s indoor and outdoor seating on the lawn. You can dine in or just stop by for a coffee to go. There’s a coffee corner inside.
