What a wonderful little restaurant! My husband and I came in last night, Monday around 6:30. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic place with great service and food? This is the place! We were greeted immediately and got the Textbook Cabernet, and the Grich Chardonnay. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on her wine and helped us picked out what wine was good for us. It was pretty busy for a Monday, our waitress was not only our server but looked to be the bartender too. We were very impressed on how prompt she was. We never felt rushed, but also did not feel ignored. We started off with the beet salad and the butter lettuce salad, and WOW! So much flavor and the fried goat cheese balls were amazing! We then shared the chicken parmesan this dish was moist and crisp and was big engough to share. We finished off with the creme brí»lée and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner! This was our first time here and we will definitely be back for more!

We had 7pm reservations on Valentine's Day, got seated at the only high top table in the restaurant directly across from the bar area. We were seated and not a single waitperson acknowledged us for 15 minutes, meanwhile 2 other couples were seated after us, ordered dinner & drinks & received their drink orders as we sat & waited. Finally, I went to the hostess & asked whether anyone had been assigned to our table & if we could order drinks. Turns out the bartender was our waitperson, we were apparently seated in the bar area even though we had made reservations for Valentine's Day? That's ridiculous to seat people who made reservations ahead of time at the bar area when there were several other tables available. Terrible customer service, I do not recommend. Walk a few doors down and go to The Pastaria instead, the food is terrific and the service is far better.

Good restaurant. Unacceptable wine glasses. Small globe and thick glass. Probably easy to clean; not good for drinking wine.

My husband and I are long term patrons of this restaurant. We always loved the ambiance, the menu, the wine, and most importantly, the service. Having Celiac disease, I cannot eat at most restaurants. I Gatti used to accommodate with fresh gluten free bread and knowledgeable servers who knew the menu and were easily able to accommodate the diet. Tonight while dining out with friends however, we encountered an entirely different experience. Not only was our server completely inattentive (looking completely away while one of our friends tried to order), but she did not know the menu or which items were gluten free and which were not. She did not offer to check with the chef when we asked. When we ordered dessert, she took the order but only informed us after it was served that it was not gluten free (even though we asked ahead of time). I asked her to take it back but she stared at us blankly and did not remove the dessert. She even charged us for the dessert on the bill! We unfortunately will not be returning to I Gatti, nor will my friends. Maria L.

We had come a few years ago and remembered it to be delicious. This time however, it was extremely inconsistent. Some of the entrees in our group were very decent, but a couple were average at best (like the bolognese). But the broccolini side dish was just a limp tasteless mess that didn't even come close to the menu description. Our server although competent, didn't seem to understand what was lacking and how to rectify it. Rather than return soon if at all, we'll be trying someplace else.

Cute interior and ambiance. However, food was lacking and over priced. The pasta came back soaked in water. I could tell they moved it from the boiler to the plate w/out even drying it. AlsoX meat balls were ok but cold. It was good food, but not great. Considering what's around in the same area, I won't be coming back.

Small inside. Our party of 7 was seated at a tiny corner booth. It was noisy inside woh other large parties. Food was delicious! I had the saffron risotto with goat cheese, spinach, and cranberries. The cherry tomatoes was weird but overall delicious! Will come again

Experienced one of the best Italian food I ever had. It was warm, nicely cooked, delicious. Servers Maria, Gregory, Emanuel were awesome throughout.

Living in Los Gatos, it's nice to change it up a bit. While I've not dined here more than a few occasions over the years, the location within walking distance of downtown shops and the theater on Saturday night made it extremely attractive. I tried to look up the menu online but had no luck opening up anything other than the location. They REALLY need to work on their online presence. I was able to call the restaurant and review their menu. I booked a table for 2. We arrived on time and found the staff prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. A 5-star review goes out to our server, Rochelle, who offered a sample of a couple types of their wines when we wavered between a Pinot and a Zinfandel. Word to the wise - they need to improve on their selections of wines. Neither of their Pinots were appealing, so I settled on their (only) Zinfandel which I would order again. My friend ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and I ordered the Chicken Madera. Both were above average and arrived in a reasonable time, hence the 4-star review. I would return again because of the cozy environment in the heart of town but would request they work on their wine list, expand their salads and immediately get a functional website!(Someone working at the restaurant said it had been down for quite some time.) I would not recommend this for a large group. The outdoor patio and cozy indoor booths and tables are more suitable for 2-4 persons.

The service is mediocre but the food is amazing! Highly recommend the cocktails and the pasta!

Very nice selection. Really nice rustic decor inside! I had the linguini here and just wish it had more clams and less mussels. This had a red sauce...I would be interested to try it with a white wine garlic sauce instead.

I made reservations tonight on Open Table but we started late and we're going to be late. I cancelled the reservations and took a later slot. We showed up 2 minutes late for the original reservation but 45 mins early for the new one. The hostess ignored me until I spoke up. Had she been more friendly or courteous ; we would have eaten here. Instead she was curt and cold. Luckily it was a nice night and we strolled down the road for a bar to kill the 45 minutes. We ended up at Dio Deka. They had tables and the hostess and wait staff were amazing. Cancelled our reservations and had a lovely meal along with delicious cocktails. Thank you for being so unfriendly that we had an opportunity to find Dio Deka and it's wonderful friendly staff.
