Best sushi we’ve had in years. Fresh, generous slices, delicious, beautiful presentation. And rolls made with real crab. (No overbearing sauces.) These lovely people deserve to feel proud of this quiet restaurant. Friendly comfortable casual outdoor seating. We were there on a weekday. The waiter brought a bowl of water for the nice dog sitting at the next table. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamakura Japanese Restaurant in Los Gatos, and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and a selection of their sushi rolls, and I was impressed with the quality of the food. The salmon teriyaki was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As for the sushi, it was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. We came by for a late Monday night dinner. It was busy but luckily there was one table open for two indoors.

Flies constantly annoyed us during our meal, one star off for that. Aside from comfort, a potential health concern.

Husband said his tempura was oily, which may happen because the frying oil was too cool.
